Here is what I learned Michigan.  When it comes to lifting of conditons most cases are processed if they have adequate information and no one has called or raised any red flags.  A computer will automatically kick out so many cases for verification and it depends on if YOUR NUMBER is flagged and then your case is pulled for an interview.

Congrats by the way Lizzy! Saw it posted last night but didn't get a chance to say.

And so he did what countless punk-rock songs had told him to do so many times before: he lived his life

10/07/2006 WEDDING DAY!

11/14/2006 AOS packet made it to 'the box' after being overnighted.

12/02/2006 Paul had biometrics

12/14/2006 AOS Forwarded to CSC AND AP Application approved.

01/17/2007 First touch of 2007 at CSC

01/20/2007 Touched AGAIN (also the 18th) come on...

February: Oops, RFE for a REGISTERED marriage certificate. Oops! Overnighted it.

02/28/2007 Paul gets email letting us know his GREENCARD is on it's way! It's done...for now!

03/09/2007 Paul's greencard arrives. And breathe...

We began with mailing the I-129 in on February 27, 2006 so the whole process took us approx. one year.

Good luck out there!

Mary, you've confused me. I think OP is referring to the current CSC transfers for AOS (not lifting) not being interviewed. Are you speaking of something else?

Becca,

I think he is referring to all AOS processing of all kinds of cases and this is what I was referring to since I know when you lift conditions (some persons call it AOS as well) as you know on the conditional status some are approved without an interview.

Considering the OP is a K3, I'd say he's asking if any K3s get intial AOS (not lifting) approved without an interview.

And to that, I do not know.

There are a couple of K3's on the CSC transfer list, I believe, but very very few K3's seem to get transferred.

Conditions Removed! Ten-year green card received 6/24/2009. No more USCIS for a very long time.

We sent all of the required evidence - including a certified copy of the marriage certificate - and we still had an AOS interview... and my wife came on a K1... so I don't agree that getting approved without interview for AOS is directly linked to how much evidence you send or what visa you're here on.

This topic has been debated on VJ before and to my knowlege no one has been able to come up with a good explanation for it. It seems somewhat random to me.

I am sure they have guidelines and that it is not random. We don't know the guidelines and might not agree with them if we did...but there are for sure some very stringent guidelines. DHS we assure that.

And you get the additional relief of not having to remove conditions...

tony

yes we do...which is why I find it hard to believe they will approve without an interview. I hope so....but I doubt it. ;)
