We are getting ready to submit our i-751 form with supporting evidence. One of our documents has a typo. It is a sworn affidavit from a family member. He got the affidavit notarized with the correct date on the bottom. But at the top of the document, he typed the wrong year. It says "July 8th 2006". Do we have to get the whole thing done again with the right date or can he make the change and write his initials with a circle around them, like you can do for bank documents?

Thanks in advance for any response!

Actually I just spoke with an immigration officer over the phone and told him the situation. He said it is ok for him to cross out the year and write his initials w/a circle around them (like they do at the banks).

I hope this information helps someone in the future. :-)
