Am i eligible for a SSN ?

we had an i-130 approved earlier this year, i came here on a B2 visa and we filed for the AOS now i'd like to know if i can file for a SSN, if so how can i do that ?

You'll need to wait until you receive your EAD or green card, whichever comes sooner

You file for SSN by submitting SS-5 form in Social Security Office. Why don't you go and try ?

K-1 makes quite a bit of difference vs. B-2 status which is tourist.

Of course you do, but since you did not seem to believe response you got, proposed you go and figure it out yourself. Ultimately SS office will either take you application or not.

But you didn't enter on a K-1, you entered on a tourist visa and applied to adjust status. K-1's qualify for a SSN, you don't.
