You must file it at the embassy, according to the email they send out to those asking for info. No mailing it in in the Philippines.

On the embassy website, they say that you must have an appointment to file, no walk ins.

We had an appointment, and were early, so they took us when we got there, but I doubt they would take you without an appointment. The guards all look for the appointment confirmation.

@rawkus212

Thank you

Can i know when you submit your I-130 did you include the passport copy of your wife?

Or not yet ? when its needed in interview?

Thank you hope to hear from you :)

June 30, 2014 to be exact. I didn't have the copy or original passport of my wife at that time but original marriage certificate will do. You will need to have a passport when you go to CFO, SLME and at the day of the interview. Better get a passport now if you don't have one yet. I believe you're going to need it when you start doing the DS forms after receiving your case number.

There are many helpful and inspiring threads regarding DCF here. Just browse around when you have time. Below is the one I follow:

After you file your I-130 this coming monday, I suggest you give them a call after 10 days or so to find out if it has been approved. I got approved after 11 days and still waiting for the case number to proceed. Just follow the thread above and you should be fine.

Thank you bookworm123:)

Good Luck!Make sure you have everything with you when you file.They will just give the other docus back if they dont need them.Dont worry,DCF is so fast.Just look at my timeline!LOL Last time I checked,the credit card machine was working.I suggest you pay in dollars if you opt to pay in cash because the current exchange rate is P44 to a $ :)

Yep, I called them yesterday to find out and still no luck. I had to call them to find out if my I-130 was approved or not, they do not notify you by email although they ask you to write your email on their forms so you could get notified. Nothing in mail too!!!! "Patience is a skill" nowadays, eh?
