Hello Everyone,

I hope my first topic meets you well. I want to fill for K1 Visa. However, I knew my fiancee since March 2012 and met her in person and got engaged May 2013. We waited for more than a year to make sure that we are on the right route. My question here is, she may come to visit me and my family in my home country later this year. It is better to wait until we meet in person again, or gain the time and start preparing and sending the package?

Please let me know what you think guys!

Thanks,

From you guys having a relationship from 2012, I am assuming there is plenty of evidence of a bonafide relationship.

If I were you I would file before the trip.

The initial i129f petition just cares if you met your fiance in the last 2 years. By the time you have your interview, going to see each other again will only bring more evidence to the Interview.

So I'd file now. But talk to your fiance first.

How many times have you met?

Sounds like a good idea to get a few more visits in, more face time, especially at a high fraud consulate.

With the advice of bring more evidence later...

Might not help, USUALLY in the past by the time of a K1 interview, CASA does not request additional evidence or even accept it

But a nice thought.

I would have an aditional visit to know each other even MORE and then secondary have more evidence to present....then file.

What a blessing to have your Fiance able to visit again!!
