As soon as I got my Case number I went ahead and paid AOS bill and did DS-261. Now I am just waiting for IV to be invoiced and do DS-260, then send the packages.

Start calling NVC: "yeah I completed the DS-261 is there a way you can verify that I did it correctly so I can pay the IV bill?"

Hey everyone,

I'm still waiting too! This is just terrible! I put in an inquiry last week and they said I should here back regarding my inquiry by March 12. This is the most frustrating and difficult test of a relationship. Plus know that I 99% will have to go through another 6months of the waiver process I feel like there is no hope in site. :(

I'm not sure. I believe it's NVC. Every lawyer I spoke with advised me that once I get NOA2 and after the interview I will likely have to get denied and go through the waiver process since my husband overstayed his visa years ago.

Hello everybody... I know this question has been asked before, but I just want to make sure what everyone is doing.

Is it ok to use income tax 2012 and 2013 in the DS-261?

I am in the situation where I want to do the 2014 income tax but with my wife as dependent but she is not in the US and does not have an SSN. I know I could get a Texas Identification Number (TIN) for her but I don't know if that would be the best choice. Or maybe... should I apply for an extension and do my 2014 income tax later when she comes to the US and receives an SSN.

Also, I don't know if this will be an issue later in the process (interview...) where I will need to have the 2014 income tax if it is after the April 15th deadline.

Please share what you have done.

Thank you!!

File married filing separately than put NRA for your wife's SSN. Then when she gets here and gets a SSN, you can amend your taxes. You will have to file by mail and not electronically. This is what I did.

If you work abroad for more than 6 months you have to get a police certificate from the country you work b4... if not then NBI is the one u have to submit at the nvc

i think For that one if im not mistaken.. you should ask your USC spouse (petitioner) for his/her tax returns for the 3 latest tax year.

I dont know about online transcript coz my husband got his from his tax agent.

I had the same question and called NVC to ask exactly this.

They said you should send copies of your tax returns and copies of the W2s.

I asked... can I just submit the online transcripts? They answered... no.

So, personally, I am sending copies of the tax returns and the online transcripts.

It is better they have extra information than have to wait (I don't know how long) for them to review your case after they had missed documents.

Hey... one question...

How long does it take for the IV fee be available for payment?

I've been waiting 7 days already.
