PD 29th July and still no NOA2. I might do what someone else did and ask my USC husband to contact his congressman...

Looking at the August filers thread and seeing all the approvals is disheartening...

PS: contacted USCIS 2 days ago and they said Nebraska is processing petitions from July 16 and that we cannot even make an inquiry until Nebraska has released its next operational report/processing report in a month's time and the date shows it is currently processing petitions beyond our PD.

I think it's safe to assume that these clowns have no idea what's going on. Honest.To. Gawd.

I feel your pain. Whatever system they have over there is beyond fixable. I can't believe such an important aspect of our lives is handled by these idiots. How can they start processing August cases when some July cases (with no RFE) aren't done yet? There's an option on the USCIS website to submit an inquiry https://egov.uscis.gov/e-Request/Intro.do notsure if it will allow you but it's worth a try. Good luck

I submitted an inquiry on 01/12 for my I130. I got an email today and this is what it said.

Your case is currently under review by an officer. You should receive a decision, correspondence, or notice of other action within 60 days of the date of this letter.

Ok now here come my vent. I have been waiting for 6 months already, and now they want my to wait another 60 days???

I had a feeling that this is the type of automated response I will get for my service request as well. Why do they even bother with these requests if they're just giving us more nonsense that only frustrates us more... Our best bet is the representatives in congress, USCIS is a hopeless case..

Is there anything else that I can do to get a stinkin approval?? Anybosy else that I can talk to and hear any sort of an update about my case? Im so ready to be over this step and to move on to the NVC.

You guys.. Just going to let you know that my I-130 petition was approved December 5th, received by NVC on December 15th, and I just got a case number for it on January 26th. NVC is moving super slow too..

But, I got lucky. Because, we also filed for a K3 visa, and some how that petition got forwarded to the Embassy before NVC received our I-130 petition. So, the Embassy is holding it up, and we are going for K3. (Hence why my timeline says K3).

But do hang in there guys, it is a long and tough process. I wish everyone luck.

Also, I do recommend contacting your Senator. It does work. I used my Senator on two/three different occasions (each time I had an issue with USCIS), and it seems to have helped because we got our approval within the 5 month period.

Good luck to everyone!

Hi everyone, we finally got approved today - I am so relieved - waiting without having any idea has been such a stressful process. We actually mailed letters to our Senators yesterday. We had called numerous times to the USCIS number and spoken to a tier 2 agent but I don't know if that had anything to do with it or whether we really just had to wait for it to be picked up.

NOA1: 29 July 2014

NOA2: 2 Feb 2015

6+ months

Good luck to everyone - hope you receive your approvals soon!

The NVC seems to be right at 35 days after receiving your case when it comes to assigning the case number and invoice ID number.

Hi Everyone,

I am feeling your pain in this terrible waiting process. Had a bit of a breakdown this morning after calling USCIS and hearing that they were still on July 16th, 2014. That is the exact date the gave me when I called two weeks ago. This track is so difficult and I most likely will have my case denied and have to still go through the dreaded Waiver Process due to my husband overstaying just over a year from 18 to 19 years of age. I feel like luck is just not on our side. :(

I finally got a reply to my Service Request: "this case is undergoing additional security review and requires a longer processing time than normal." Can anyone shed light on this? How long does something like this usually takes? Should I be concerned?
