After almost 7 months waiting our case was APPROVED today!!!! I am so happy to have completed this step and we look forward to the next part of our journey with NVC. I believe that contacting the congressman had a lot to do with it being processed. Good luck to all with pending approvals.

Congrats... I too was one of the first July filers @ NSC that got approved and it was all thanks to the Senator's office. Have any June or July filers received their case number? Ours should be ready within the next 10 days.

I am happy there is someone we can turn for answers, I will start calling NVC in a week or so...I can't wait to hear other June/July filers experiences

Someone with a receive date of 12/15 got their case number today.... That would mean that I should get a case# ~1/28

So for me the month of January was a complete waste of time...eff'ing NVC, why not use the case # that USCIS assigned? Ughh I hate this process.

FYI: Don't call NVC, if I had this knowledge I would wait AT LEAST 3 weeks. They are really pushing it to their deadline. I'm gonna receive the case number on day 37 or 38 (they quote 42 days). The good news is that once you receive that case number you can fly through the process within 3 months (DS-261 to case complete); this is assuming you make no mistakes on any of the ppwk. Good luck.

I called NVC yesterday. The recording said that if you do not hear from them within 35 days of your NOA2, then call back. So my offical date is January 6th...so I will wait until February 10th...maybe....or might jsut call and ask in a few days...
