Hi everyone.

My case is IR-1 and USCIS Received I-130 on 9July and i got Receipt # on 19jul. (Nebraska service center)

I wonder if my husband in military now, does any quick background check --> quickly to approve?

Thank you.

No, being in the military makes no difference in approval speed.

your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. got this July 18 and nothing after. not a hard copy or anything. after reading some other post. I came to the conclusion that it must have been my old alien number from the time that I was a permanent resident. I omitted it from the application because I didn't think it was relevant. I was hopping it was for my wife but it was to soon for that anyway. I keep checking my case status at the uscis website but nothing else has changed. by the way. I have noticed that the California center is way faster. I am currently at the Nevada center. can I request a transfer?

Hello to all July I-130 filers! ? We sent our I-130 package a few days ago and waiting for the NOA1 now! I have been following VJ for a while now, reading, gathering all info and tips and it has helped us immensely to assemble the required documents and evidence needed. All these nerve wrecking paper work aint easy and im glad to be a part of the forum and get all the help from my fellow VJ members! The journey begins now and I wish you all the best with the waiting (the hardest part) ?

The alien registration number is for your spouse, not for you. Every beneficiary is assigned one when someone reviews your case. You dont receive any hard copy for this, it is just an update. What do you mean Nevada? Or is it Nebraska?

No, you cannot request a transfer. They will decide if your case needs to be transferred or not. :)

Same here, also at Nebraska. PD is 7/10 and got the ARN update on 7/21. Thought it was a good sign but I believe its just a mere update. Nothing more. Oh well, I'm ready to wait 4-6 months. :(

hey there fellow July filer! From what I have read you just got your NOA1 hard copy and not the NOA2. NVC comes after your I130 is approved and have your NOA2. ;)

Hey errrbodeeyyy. I just filed I-130 for my wife who is in Mongolia. Let the waiting game begin.

-7/12/14 mailed in I-130 to Phoenix lockbox

-7/15/14 USCIS received it

-7/20/14 Got the I-797C (NOA) from USCIS Nebraska Service Center

I wonder what the timeframe for the whole process from the filing date to the interview as of July 2014. I hope it wouldn't take longer than 6 to 8 months.

hello everyone. i sent my I-130 and got the NOA1 Jul 7.

on Jul 18, my status changed to Alien registration changed regarding.... (apparently this does not mean much)

looking at mi LIN*********** and looking at a few numbers prior and a few numbers ahead, I noticed that 5 numbers below me had approval status, and 10 numbers did too. some in between had the ARN changed as well, and some just stated that they have received the application.

Has anyone noticed a trend on how does the USCIS process cases?

I know that certain countries have priority due to humanitarian causes, but it just seems that for the rest of the world is as random as it can possibly be.
