Nebraska suck!!!

I do not know much about Nebraska, but from what I have seen, they are kinda slow. I think the slowest is Texas, but I am not completely sure.

I am happy my case was approved by USCIS last November 20, now we are now halfway to NVC.. I hope everyone also has a good news too.

Congratulations! :) What all have you done with NVC as of right now? Or have you not started that process yet?

HELP!!! I am wondering if anyone experience this....I have been getting an error from the website ever since it started to act up when uscis was doing their changes. I just got a text from USCIs that my case was 'updated' and when I ck my case with my receipt number it just tells me that it was received and that I needed to contact uscis for more info...my question is: when you get approved the text from uscis would say APPROVED? I am going to call tomorrow but the suspense is killing me...does anyone has experience this? I am going crazy here my pd date 7/10...appreciate all responses

Thanks! :)

And, okay. My PD was July 24th, 2014. What is your PD? As for the info... I got the text and email notification from USCIS.. The text said that there was an update on the case, and directed me to log into the site to check it. As soon as I got the approval, I was able to get status updates/case info from the site again.

So, from what it seems, they are NOT fixing the issue with the site, even though they say they are. It seems to me that it only gets fixed when your case has some sort of update, like a RFE, approval, etc. But, if you do want information, you can call the customer service number, tell them the problem, tell them you have been calling a lot about this matter, and demand to be connected to a tier 2 agent who will give you more information on your case.

If successful, just do a call back, and be prepared to wait potentially for 2+ hours for tham to call back. Though, it is possible they could call you back much quicker than that. It just depends on the wait time. Most of the time the wait time is 1.5+ hours. Good luck!

hi Katie, thanks a lot..Our PD is July 10....and its Texas...I think Texas is the sloooowest...We called Tier2Agent last week and explained the call center/website issue and they told that its the database issue and they told as per the TSC timelines it will take atleast 78 more days(at max) to tell abt a decision and they have registered an e request behalf of us and cut the call...and when I Login to my account I could see the update as Sep 9 which was the address update we made...no other changes...

Can anyone suggest the process once the PD completes 5 months timeline(which is next week for us) or is there any expedition can be done/possible once the 5 months period gets completed because I could see the Texas timeline says that its May 2nd for i130(as per Oct31)....and for other service center displays the timeline as 5 months

When you reach 5 months you can go to USCIS website and make an e-request then choose case outside normal processing time... that way you will know what's really going on your case and also they will be reminded of your case... here's the link https://egov.uscis.g...equest/Intro.do

Exactly the same thing happened to me. I received an email this morning from USCIS saying that my case has been received and is under Initial Review. I got this same notice when I initially submitted my petition. Then it was changed to "your Alien Registration Number has been changed". It has been that way until now.

Same here, i received the text this morning as well (Nebraska center), and it says you case number xxx is now updated. I checked the USCIS case statues and it just says: " you case has been received and we emailed you the notice".

I had high hopes but since it came for you from Texas center and I am in Nebraska, i think it is not related to actual case movement it is just the USCIS system updating status,

Will keep the hope for good news in the near future. This whole process is nerve wrecking.
