Hamas don't accept Israel's right to exist so there's really very little room for talk there.

They should just fight it out and ignore third parties until one side lies in dust and the other has won, sorta kinda.

For the record a lot of what happened in WW2 was reprehensible - firebombing Dresden, nuking Hiroshima and Nagasaki etc. If that needs pointing out.
