  1. 1. What comes closest to how you feel about all this?

    • Gooooo Israel!

    • Gooooo Hamas!
      2
    • Israel and the West Bank could all get wiped off the map tomorrow and I wouldn't care one bit.

    • All I want to know is, how does this affect the American War on Terror?

When you put facts infront of people's faces and they still call it propaganda, you know they're hopeless.

I'm sorry you feel that way. My wife spent a good amount of time living in Israel, as part of her studies. She loved the land and the people, but she agrees that Israel is not the peaceful nation it says it is. She doesn't want to see Hamas launch rockets at Israel, but can understand why do so.

Fortunately not everyone in Israel is hoodwinked.

A beautiful place being desolated.

Obvious from your response you didn't even watch it. Nothing new there.

Next!

Posting a photo to Twitter of a Hamas spokesman being interviewed on camera, Nick Casey, The Wall Street Journal‘s Middle East Correspondent, wondered how patients there might feel about Hamas using the hospital as a “de facto headquarters for Hamas leaders, who can be seen in the hallways and offices,” as reported by The Washington Post last week.

On Monday, Casey wrote: “You have to wonder [with] the shelling how patients at Shifa hospital feel as Hamas uses it as a safe place to see media.”

During the 15 days of Israel’s Operation Protective Edge, Hamas has been caughtusing hospitals, mosques and schools to hide militants and weapons, all of which are contrary to international rules of war created to protect civilians.

I agree Israel has been being attacked and threatened for a long time. Much longer than 10 years. However it does not give them the right to do anything, but they do have a right to defend themselves against rocket attack.

The difference is that Bruce Lee may kick your butt, as is deserved. However he wouldn't blow up your house and lock up all your relatives. Bruce Lee would probably see something wrong with that.

UN's Pillay says Israel may be guilty of war crimes.

Some honest dialogue is necessary.

Indeed. What isn't necessary is more propaganda about how the people bombing civilian areas have no moral responsibility for it.

Why talk about the situation when we can make up analogies that have nothing to do with it?

The context historically is moving Jews from all over the world to a "Homeland" based upon identity as a Jew. That required forcing others off the land they were currently living on. The injustice of that, and continuing to keep the Palestinians prisoners in the largest reservation/'refugee camp on earth absolutely screams for recognition in any talk of this problem.

You immediately identify yourself as unreasonable and incapable of rational thought on this if you refuse to acknowledge this injustice and instead frame it as Israel being under attack. My God, how utterly biased - Israel standing on a street corner, minding its own business.

Insofar as the "right to exist" - well duh, any people have the inherent right to form governments of their choosing. But not the right to take someone else's land to do it. This can only be settled by negotiation, and that negotiation is not about Israel's right to exist so much as it is about the Palestinians' rights to be recognized as equal to those of any Israeli.

Equality.

More children than Palestinian fighters are being killed in Israel's offensive on Gaza, according to the UN. Shown here are the name, age, and sex of 132 of those children, recorded by the Al Mezan Centre for Human Rights

You only forgot to mention a few insignificant facts:

1. it was empty after Israel made sure of it for days now.

2. They were using it to shoot at the soldiers from windows etc

3. they had weapons and rockets stored in it as evident by the secondary explosions.

I always assumed it was the west finally trying to "win" the crusades.
