Hello, I have read on VJ several times about waiting months and months after filing the 129-f petition before asking for aid from your US Congressman. Where does this information come from and why wait for months to pass when California service center is clearing thier petiitions much faster than Texas?

Hi, the information comes from USCIS. Their national benchmark is December and prior filers for approving petitions and sending out NOA2's.California is much further ahead in comparison to the benchmark with I129f approvals. TSC is behind due to shifting their priorities to approving I130's. Your NOA1 is May, you will have to wait at least 5 months. You can speak to a senator or congressman regarding your case if there is special and extreme circumstances.

This is misinformation. TSC has not been updated, they are not going faster, in fact they are going slower.

Uh, tsc saying they're working on dec 17, which was 5.5 months in May is not faster. And since they're still claiming that at mid July makes it nearly 7 months. Definitely not faster...where have you seen otherwise?

Just got an update from a friend that TSC is still processing around the same speed so sorry about that misinfo. But something that may alter the speed is that petitions from the Philippines are no longer expedited.

For example, the interview schedules are a lot easier to get. Just recently there were open slots everywhere in September. So that may be a big help in how "fast" TSC or CSC.

But anyways just sit back and relax. Gather your paperwork and keep communicating with your significant other. Good luck on the Journey

I second this! This person often posts messages that appear uplifting and supportive, but end up confusing or angering other members. I believe a little "coaching" can go a long way in helping this member become a constructive contributor.
