hi guys, my fiance just wrote messages to a representative and a senator......both of them had a "contact me/email me" thing on their website and fiance clicked that and had to fill out basic info bout himself and then check the issue regarding him writing and describe the situation, so he did that....but...someone on here told me that for the congressmen to start working on our behalf there needs to be a privacy act release signed and sent to them...does that mean him sending these two messages wont do anything? im asking because i also went on this second senators website and there it specifically says that for help with federal agency that form must be filled, signed and mailed to him....but the other two websites didnt say that....does anybody know what this means?

They will send you the privacy release after they read your message/letter on the website. At least, that's what happened for me and my fiancé

hmm...ok....i see.

did it take a long time for them to do that when u guys did it....

and like i said, this other senator's website specifies that this form needs to be filled, signed and mailed to them in order for them to help, so should i go ahead and do that too?

Ok so what i got so far is two "online" messages sent to a rep and one senator......................and then this other senator wants a privacy act release sent to him so that will be mailed to him....

and then....my fiance's district rep has an office in fiance's town so you guys think its a good idea for my fiance to print out the letter explaining the situation, copies of both noas, and a real signature of course and taking them to that office? tho we just emailed that rep, wouldnt that be good to do also?

Yes we would do that. It is easier to get some answers if you are there in person.

Our inquiry was related to my hospitalization and surgery I'm having, and how we could get an expedite.
