According to http://www.visajourney.com/content/times the Texas Service Center is 5 months behind the California Service Center. Texas is currently processing I-129Fs from January while California's on ones from last month. Additionally, the graphs show a 30-day turnaround time in California.

I sent it to Texas because it's the address I found on http://www.uscis.gov/i-129f-addresses and I didn't even realize there were other places I could send it. My question is, is it possible to resubmit my I-129F to the California Service Center? I'd even be willing to eat the petition fee again if it means my fiancée can get here 5 months sooner.

from what I understand that's the "distribution centre" ... where they receive all the visa packages ... and from there they send it to a random service centre to work on it.

I'm waiting in the Texas queue :( And it really sucks. If they keep at this pace, it will be around December when I get to schedule my interview/physical/all that other fun junk. Which is not only holiday season but my work really picks up around then and I likely wont get days off. SOOO, I'm looking at next February/March before I can move and be with my fiance. :(

it really sucks, doesn't it?

All I can say is try not to watch all these CSC peeps getting approved. :(

Hi there,

As other VJ members have said; the Texas sorting facility which ALL I129f petitions are sent to and it's not the same location as the TSC/Texas Service Center. You cannot choose which service center your peition will then be forwarded to as it is set by a regional location (East coast to TSC, West coast to CSC). Currently, December filers are still waiting for an NOA2, January filers are still waiting. The wait time for an NOA2 is currently 6-8 months. it's another 2 months from NOA2 - NVC- til the interview at Sydney consulate. Good luck and also :time:

Thank you for your answers, everyone. I thought I'd researched this thoroughly, but I still seem to learn something every time I visit this site.

I was really hoping I'd be able to get in on that 30-day window, too. At least I've got a bit more information than I did before. I really appreciate how quickly you all responded.

Good luck and also :time:

lol I was just thinking about that as I was looking at everyone's on here. Congratulations on your approval!

Apparently that's what it says when you don't put in the actual embassy. Oops!
