Its a very good thing that you have decided to write them. Regarding your problem, we also had the same problem, we were approved since May 24th, 2012 and our approved petition was not with the NVC , then mistakenly sent bunch of approved petitions to NRC which is the National reserve center, so we had to contact senators, congress man, NVC, USCIS office, we actually visited the USCIS office more than 4 times, different calls and so on, so they located it and it was in NRC and then we had to file for them to remove it from NRC and back to NVC, so it took is 128 days to get all these things done but at last we got it back to NVC. So i understand actually what you are passing through, so i guess yours is there too.

guys, yesterday we sent this very letter and timeline to one of the state's senators and a representative and today the senator's office calls my fiance and lets him know that they contacted the uscis and that our petition has been found, it got sent off to the records center....and they say it will now be sent off to the nvc and they will be checking on it. i cant believe they acted this fast!

Good deal! Glad it worked out for you.
