Asians and pictures. I know that's a generalization, but I swear i think I could walk in a Philippino bank and start taking pictures, and a buddy could loot the place while i was snapping.

1. Geez guys, I would figure that people having fun and getting along would make your jobs as Mods a bit easier. Does people discussing the current events and social aspects of their lives not fit into the Current Events and Hot Social Topics forum?

2. And T-Bone, how does a split thread which you started titled "Marvin's potentially good news" get put in CEHST and allowed to thrive there, while this thread gets bounced? Is this not a "personal thread"?

(Marvin, I love ya man, but I had to point this inconsistency out)

1. Good question. Several of the Mods discussed it, in non-knee-jerk fashion. The description for the CE&HST forum is this: "Discussion on the latest news, current events and hot social topics including politics and religion."

The description for the OT forum is this: "Off Topic discussion not relating to US Immigration. For politics or religion please use the below sub forum [meaning CE&HST]."

City/national/international news/events and issues of broad societal importance are CE&HST; personal stuff is OT. Otherwise, think of some trivial or even absurd examples of what could be posted in CE&HST; things would go south in a hurry.

2. Good point again, and that thread has been moved. See rationale therein.

3. I'd have moved the thread myself; Ryan was simply the first to it. Kathryn is unavailable for a while, but she'll respond.

T-Bone, this thread I started was for the posters who mainly post in the CEHST forum to discuss the current events and social aspects of their personal lives with one another. The title of the forum itself allows for this type of thread and discussion. There is no legitimate justification for moving this thread other than to agitate the people who enjoy it. It's nothing but more heavy handed moderation that I/we thought had come to an end.

Things have been going pretty good between the Mods and the regular posters for a while, but this is a step in the wrong direction. It's as if some of the mods here go looking for trouble. Having the regular posters get along and be friendly with one another is a great plus for the family friendly atmosphere the board admin seems so willing to impose on us, yet some of the mods seem to want to keep folks at odds. Why certain mods insist on being counterproductive is beyond me, perhaps you really enjoy the friction and bickering that used to take place in that forum. One would think that having the posters of the board be friendly and get along with one another would be a plus for the mods.

Keeping this thread in CEHST would add to the enjoyment level of that forum, it would make many regular posters happy and it would deter no one from their regular enjoyment of this board. It is one of the most simple requests that anyone on a discussion board could make, yet it seems to be the most difficult task for the mods to execute. Moving this thread and this type of friendly discussion out of CEHST will insure this thread's slow death and it will also insure a less than pleasant atmosphere in that forum. That baffles me really.

How about some Fried corn bread ( the kind with crispy edges", Mac and Cheese gooey and hot, Fine cut collards slow cooked with some fat meat with some pepper sauce on them, Field Peas, Homemade Potato salad like the old church ladies use to make, Biscuits with cane syrup, some fresh caught fried Catfish, Thin sliced fried Pork Chop or Slow hickory smoked Pork loin

Finish it off with Peach or Blackberry cobbler with home made vanilla ice cream

One could make the argument that moving this thread out of the CEHST forum is a TOS violation. This thread is about current events and social aspects and moving it diminishes the enjoyment of using this forum for many people.
