Communication is such a powerful tool. Not everyone has mastery of that tool :)

I concur.

Thank you everyone for taking the time to discuss the question that I had. I had a good idea that it was $240USD($410TND) but then got confused because of the consulate sent me the incorrect amount to pay at my fiancé's interview(when it was exchanged into Dinars). I will inform them of the correct amount and will pay accordingly to what the current fee is. It was just to clarify the K1 Visa fee paid at the embassy which I got the info very early on when I posted my question to you all.

Thank you again for helping each other and myself out when I needed the correct info or where to find it! That is why we are on here...to get the support from each other going through our journeys. Best wishes to everyone!

Glad you got your answer. Maybe the consulate will fix their email if you point out the mistake. Good luck at the interview!

Thank you! We're super excited and nervous! I had to stop and think about the amount and did the currency exchange rates between the two countries and it just didn't make sense. I wondered if couples just paid that amount when they got the email from the embassy and didn't see the discrepancy? I know in the excitement of it all what's another 100 dollars, right? IT IS VERY EXPENSIVE! and I don't want to pay another 100 dollars more if I can help it!

Now, onwards to getting him here so we can actually have a life together! Thanks for the great vibes!

You're welcome! Maybe some people do just pay more than they need to. It is expensive, and I would not want to pay an extra $100 either. Yes, first get him here, then worry about filing for AOS(and the large chunk of change that is) after you take a break to enjoy each other and get married. :)

Yes, my (now) wife paid 240.00 dollars at the Manila Embassy, for the interview (medical) portion of her K-1, was April 2013!

The $240 is the visa processing fee. The medical has its own separate fee that varies from one country to the next.

If that was sent to you in an email, that could be a typo, possibly? The fee listed on the US Embassy (Athens) website for K visa applications is US$240 or 180 euros ---> http://athens.usembassy.gov/visa-application-fee.html

Flying to Seattle on 6 May 2014!
