The Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy will be closed on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, in anticipation of inclement weather conditions related to Typhoon Rammasun/Glenda. Consular services have been suspended in order to safeguard the public and our employees. Individuals with scheduled visa interviews should monitor our website or contact our visa information service at 02-982-5555 to reschedule.

For U.S. citizens with American Citizen Services appointments, please either reschedule your appointment by visiting our website or await contact by the ACS unit in the next few days. For emergencies involving U.S. citizens, please contact the Embassy through the main Embassy telephone (63-2) 301-2000. We expect to open during regular hours on the next business day, provided conditions improve. Please monitor our website.

Glenda is making a beeline towards NCR and is expected to be Cat 3 when she hits. Good luck and stay safe kababayans.

edit: Cat 3 by PAGASA classification, not NOAA classification.
