Going Home For a Visit!

The wife and I are planning on heading back home for about 10 days around mid May. We’re in the Orlando/Sanford airport area and have been searching for a good deal into Dublin or even Belfast. London wouldn’t be bad as we could jump on a Ryanair/Easyjet or what ever into Belfast, Derry or Dublin.

If all go’s well this will be my first trip back home in about a year and a half, I’m looking forward to it!

Thanks in advice for any help and or advice.

Hey Aidan...dunno about any cheap flights...but don't underestimate the luggage allowance difference from int'l to domestic....might be a probbo if ya fly into London.

Sanford's a great lil airport...D loves flying in there as opposed to MCO. Only prob for us is that the really killer deals are only from there to here and not the other way round.

Hope you get a great flight & if it's a cracking price, let us know!

Aidan, I don't know what you want to pay, but I can see tickets from Pittsburgh to Boston to Dublin (DUB) on Aer Lingus for around $601 clear up through June. And I've been seeing that fare for a good while.

I doubt you'd save any money flying into Derry (LDY). Even we don't do that and Wes is from there! He always would hire a cab or take the bus into Belfast (BFS).

Try the search engine sidestep.com. You have to download the engine onto your machine but I've found them to be pretty comprehensive.

Hi adian,

Always had luck with Aer Lingus. Delta and American have deals into Shannon and Dublin too. Last year when I went the prices started going up after the end of March.

Good luck and have fun,

Thanks all for responding.

I wish I could use Aer Lingus but I can't. They stopped flying into Orlando the start of last year! I don't know how much to pay for a flight best deal so far is $732. I'm just searching having a look around out there and of course I'm hunting for a deal. I think I will have another look at Delta, AA and even Aer Lingus, maybe I'll get a cheap flight up from Sanford to JFK and connect.

I'm not looking to save money by flying into Derry unless I got a cheap flight from Orlando into London and then a cheap flight out of London into Derry.. which isn't going to happen I don't think. I wouldn't mind flying into Belfast but we can't afford the mad prices.

I'll keep hunting and if I get lucky I'll post back. :)
