Been looking around but no concrete answer for this one. I have two separate I-130 for my wife and stepson. I'm filling out the I-864 but getting a little confused on some parts. I've heard that I need two separate I-864 for each beneficiary. Is this true? So on my wife I-864, do I list my stepson on part 3 item 2 or leave it blank? It's this question here:

I am sponsoring the following family members immigrating at the same time or within 6 months of the principal immigrant named in Part 2. Do not include any relative listed on a separate visa petition.

Do I mark it and list my stepson on family member 1?

Just don't want to make any mistakes. Any help will do. Thank you

Hello Everyone,

My wife has her visa interview at the London embassy, Aug 12, and we are curious about the biometrics situation. I was told by the NVC that biometrics happen after the interview? Does it happen before they take the passport for processing? Or after it is returned?

I'm unclear on how that is supposed to work.

Thank you!

There are occasions where the I-864 is completed for an a beneficiary who gets to bring the kids or family along as part of the deal. I know that is vague and not in government vernacular, but my way of saying it simply.

In your case, the mom and child have separate I-130 petitions so USCIS instructs you to NOT list the child and mom on the same I-864. Each is listed alone on two separate I-864s. This one is about support for two separate cases/beneficiaries, and not trying to list who is related to whom and will travel together to America, if that makes sense.

Sorry about the messed up quote above with my answer. I managed to answer you in another person's thread, so quickly copied and deleted from that thread. But then pasted the whole quote/answer into your thread.

(Note to self: Go make some coffee and wake up :P )
