Hello!

I am helping a friend find out how to secure a police clearance in Thailand. She worked there for 5 years and needs a police clearance certificate for her K-1 application. If someone did so from the Philippines, that would be better.

Thanks!

will need police clearance for any country where you have resided for over 6 months. i have to do the same as i stayed in thailand for 3 years.

can do that by post, call your local thai embassy, they will send you the procedures and documents required.

for me, i did this in australia, have to go to local police station and get finger prints, have to take with me all documents required by the thai police, photo copy of passport with visa for thailand, work permit etc, stamped self addressed envelope, with the finger prints, local police has to seal the envelope with all my paperwork and they have to send it directly to the thai police in bkk where they will process and send police clearance in english in around a month. this was how i did it, it was last year, don't know if anything has changed since then.

hope that helps
