I am very humbled in having to post this. I hope that I have found the correct forum for my questions.

I needed a co-sponsor to bring my Fiance here to America. We are now married and about to file the AoS paperwork. In the last couple of weeks I have been to the emergency room for treatment of sever sciatica and back problems. I will likely need to have surgery to correct the problems.

My question is: Can I alone apply for medicaid, not listing my wife as a person needing, applying or requiring medicaid and still do the AoS paperwork (and nothing interferes with the immigration process)?

I had planned to finalize my AoS packet and have in the mail on Wednesday.

I am a US Citizen. I have never had a public benefit. I declined the ACA before the deadline.

I was just seeking to make certain that if a person in the intending immigrants household had a public benefit (the sponsor in this case) that it would not affect the immigration process and I would not have assets seized as if it were the immigrant receiving benefits.
