NVC AOS and IV support doc dates and confusion

Hi guys,

I sent in the IV docs on May 20th and AOS docs on June 10th (via email for electronic processing). Today I called and the supervisor said they only see in their system something got received on June 12 and July 10 but nothing has been reviewed yet, and may take up to 30 days.

I told her I did not send anything after June 10, she got really impatient and told me the date it gets uploaded into the system is different than the date I sent the email and she could not see anything until it is reviewed.

Can someone help, I am so confused. Basically she's telling me after I sent the email, it takes nvc 30 days to upload to the system, then another 30 days for someone to review before it is added to my case? I thought it was just 1 step after email - that someone read it and add it to my case?

She wouldn't tell me anything keep saying all she sees is I sent email on June 12 and July 10 but don't know what they are (and even though my last email was sent June 10 ).

Very frustrated, what should I ask next time to guide them

You might want to go to Ryan's thread about Opting in for China and all that involves. making sure nothing was missed. Sorry for all your delay. NVC has not been very efficient lately.

I called again explaining I sent the IV support docs on May 20th but the girl on the phone again said they only see something sent on June 12 but don't know what it is since it hasn't been reviewed yet.

This is so frustrating can someone please help on what to do next or know how NVC review emails.

Should I resend everything - both IV and AOS support docs again in 1 email ? I am worried that will add even more to the confusion.

Call your Congressman! They might be able to help push things along. Your congressman's office will submit an inquiry to the NVC, and will likely prompt them to get things going.
