hi everyone! just a quick question? i already have a schedule of interview on September 10, 2014. I am just wondering if i still have the option to get an early date? would that be the same process on my dashboard? i am seeing rescheduling option but its asking me to cancel my current appointment... any advice in my case? thanks!

I believe yes, you can still get an earlier date... However, based on what I have read, you are allowed to cancel your interview date twice... In my opinion, if it is really a need to cancel your first schedule, you can do so, and if not, stick to your date... About your same process on your dashboard question, people who have experienced it can answer you...

So there are slots for September... by the time we receive our MNL, I am sure there will be no more slots for September. I can really sense that it is really tough to grab one. Plane tickets are expensive by December. Oh no!

We downloaded C4C on July 4th and on July 7th, we got a September 10th date also.

Then due to my work, our k1 process was going to get interfered so we had my fiance call the Embassy and they expedited us to August 13 (Wow!). They told my fiance if we cancel your appointment, we cannot promise you will get an earlier date so do you want to take the risk? We got lucky.

Tell me about it! I am getting tickets for me and my mom going there! And (hopefully) for my fiance coming back!

Expensive, but well worth it :P

Correct! that's another problem...

Just keep your date. A couple of weeks from now, you guys will be in a position where you are ahead of the line in scheduling and having an appointment date. So enjoy your Journey. Relax a little and gather the paperwork!

Hahaha... Anyway, I think September or October will be a good month. It is cheaper than November or December. You can also take advantage by using the FareLock service, too. Ohh, I am the beneficiary. :D

Well, I hope your interview goes well. Best of luck and you will be with your fiance soon.. and I will be waiting for your future post regarding your interview.

thank's for the advice JIJOURNEY. Is it ok to do my medical as early as now considering the schedule is too far?

Maybe like the first week of August should be good.

IF you see an earlier date on the left side of the dashboard and you want to grab that date then you must first click to cancel your current appointment, then HOPE then no one else grabs the earlier date before you as you could then be without ANY appointment at all.

Being the current situation in Manila regarding interview appointments is difficult at best I for sure would not be trying to do that.

People sometimes cancel their appointments. These are coveted spots that go quickly but they DO come up. Even if you somehow lose your appointment trying to get a better one It's not the end of the world. It just means spending hours fishing for a new slot. This could be done by you or your spouse or both. They limit how many times you can search in any given hour. It's really frustrating! It probably took us more than 100 tries before an appointment became available we could use. My spouse was in Hong Kong so she couldn't take the appointments that were available days later. It was a decision that worked well for us. You may find keeping the later appointment less stressful. I would only do this if I could shave off a significant amount of wait time. I'd say a month or more but that's just me.
