We don't have enough information from the article to judge that. Does the kid go in and say, "I hurt down there" and the nurse goes through the usual checklist, including "did anyone touch you down there?"

The kids in a lot of the daycare hysteria would say something like "X touched my peepee." Without psychological prodding! Turned out to be false there, too, along with the murdered giraffes, hot air balloons and the naked movie star games.

I'm not saying that I know the little girl is lying. I'm saying that 'oh, it's impossible for her to make it up HANG HIM HIGH STUPID CONSTITUTION' is maybe a wee bit premature. Kids are ridiculously suggestible.

I agree with you 100% about kids being so suggestible. That's why it's important to start teaching your children a second language when they're very young! Kids pick it up so quickly.

I find it incredible that so many people who bemoan the fact that the immigration process is unfair, takes to long etc etc etc are so quick to leap forward and make judgements without any substantive evidence, knowledge of the case or any clue of what has really gone on other than a newspaper article ( AND WE ALL KNOW HOW RELIABLE THOSE ARE DON'T WE?)

Second language?...in this case I would say, adults must know much better than ever child's psychology, for instance: what means when a Child does not say the truth, or invents stories. A lot...and maybe a sign that the child has to lie for some good reason, related to the environment he/she lives in...Second, and the most important, an adult has to listen to whatever a child has to say...and teach the child how to express any inconfortable situations ...the "language" of learning to say: do not touch me there, because i don't like it and if you don't stop, i'll call the police or my mommy or whoever is important to the child...This case is unique because juges are involved...this is very very serious...and it does not matter in my opinion if the child lied or not...what matters is that the child says this way something is going wrong in his environment...And another thing, many parents are aware of all this and teach those things to their kids...and some are still abused..because pervs seem to be everywhere.....the most important is to make reparation...

I really doubt this girl was making this up.and she couldnt have faked the pain in a way it caught ppls eyes at school. And i dont think shed lie by telling that her mom was paid so he could have sex with her. There are some things kids lie about, i dont see this being one of them.

Heheh, well then i'm glad, i like debates also obviously. But (lol)..i don't deny that to debate we have to be sensitive, and maybe obsessively sensitive lol...So, overall, the media game is only about economy and products consumption on the back of a child....still, i'm inclined to be seriously preoccupied and think that some social workers or other child care stuff should stick their nose to check on her wellbeing...and here, the medias seem beneficial...so i don't see the problem with them yet...

If this man and the girls mother are guilty hopefully they will be able to use DNA evidence to prove it so it's not a 'he said, she said' situation. If there's not DNA evidence I'd even take any physical 'damage' to the girl as proof she was sexually assaulted and throw 100% of the system at them. Personally, I think death by fire (burning) would be fitting for child molesters but unfortunately that's not an option.

Saddly things like this have been happening for a very very long time.... 50 years ago it was only whispered about... 100 years ago it was never spoken about and people turned a blind eye to it... today people are outraged at the very thought of something like this happening to a child.... But you only have to go to some of the countries in the far east and see the western men who go there for one thing only.... to have sex with children.. do you think it will stop anytime soon??? I doubt it will..

Amen to that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It seems that so many times we worry too much about the rights of the perpetrator of the crime and ignore the rights of the crime victims. I pray that little girl will be able to overcome this and that her mother and that DISGUSTING man pay a HIGH price.
