Hi, my girlfriend and I who I proposed to last week wants to be both present during my interview eventually. We plan for her to come here for the interview so we can fly together to the states if I do get approved.

My questions

Can she come with me to the interview?

How long does it take for me to get a visa after I do get approved?

(organizer hat off)

You will have to check with the interviewing embassy/consulate whether the petitioner is allowed at the visa interview. Unfortunately, that information is missing from the Embassy Information at the Armenian embassy. Is the Armenian embassy the interviewing embassy? That is the information you currently have on your timeline.

Good luck on your visa journey.

If it is the Armenian embassy, the answer is no. Only the beneficiary can attend the interview. I just updated that info on the embassy page.

June 11 - "Welcome to America" letter received!!!!!! WE WENT GREEN!
March 10 - Packet sent to CSC
March 13 - Delivered
March 15 - Check Cashed

My questions

Can she come with me to the interview?

How long does it take for me to get a visa after I do get approved?

First of all, it depends to the US embassy in the beneficiary's country. In my country the US embassy allow a petitioner come in but not join the interview. He/she has to wait outside the room though you can still hear consular officer ask questions to the beneficiary. But I read, the US embassy in London does not allow the petitioner comes to the interview. They have to wait outside of US embassy's building.

For your second question, again, it depends to where the beneficiary will have the interview. For instance, It is mandatory to put the beneficiary under AP for security check at the US embassy in Islamabad. In my country, the US embassy put beneficiary under AP to complete the visa processing. I had my visa 3 days after my interview.

And after filed I-129F, fill out your timeline, please. It will help a lot others. Thank you.

Sorry I am from the Philippines and will very likely be having my interview here in Manila

Is this for your K1 visa interview? Is so, Yes, your fiancee will be allowed to enter US Embassy in Manila with you. She just has to show her US passport upon entry. Both of you can go to each window when your number is called. However, the petitioner might be asked to take a seat during the interview itself, depending on the CO's discretion.

When you have a chance, please update your profile with the correct country and :time:. All the best to your upcoming interview!

It can take up to 10 working days to get your visa once you are approved. The embassy advises you to contact them if it goes beyond that. You could get lucky and receive it in a a few days but it's impossible to say with certainty. I would strongly advice against booking a flight before you get your visa.

If you are having the interview here in Manila, based on what I have read, they like it when the couple attends the interview together...

Good luck on your interview!!!! However, are you planning to be with your fiancee during her medical and cfo???? I think you will be waiting outside if thats your plan... They only ask the beneficiary to be inside the clinic and the cfo office... Maybe you can go to the mall while you wait for her... Temperature here sucks... It's freaking hoootttt!!

Varies with each embassy, you should ask you question in the Armenia sub-forum
