I strongly believe that you should carry every piece of paper you own into the interview. The last interview we had with USCIS (Removal of Conditions) the IO had two folders each with about 6" of paperwork. One was the paperwork I did for the I-130, and the other was for the I-485. I probably had copies of every piece of paper that was in those folders in the bags that my wife and I brought with us. I don't know that they would ask you for anything like the old passport in your wife's maiden name, but wouldn't you feel bad if they did and you forgot to bring it?

Regards,

Bill

Normally the embassy will only want your current passport. If you started this processing using your old passport number then switched to a new passport then I would bring both.
