Hi everyone!

We paid the AOS fee on July 3rd - it showed up as paid on July 7th (not surprising due to the long weekend for the 4th of July). It is now Jul 11, and the option to pay the IV fee still has not appeared. I thought it typically took a day or two after the AOS fee was paid... has anyone else experienced a hold up this long? I doubt that it will appear tonight/over the weekend, and I am just anxious to keep things moving! (im sure it will be there eventually, but I would appreciate re-assurance lol)

Hi everyone!

I am also waiting for the IV fee, my husband paid June 29 and July 1 showed paid and we he sent the AOS docs. I am now waiting on IV fee to be available.

I'm in a similar situation, OP. From reading other people's experiences, it seems like NVC is pretty backlogged with cases, & it is taking them a while to connect the DS-261 with the the case & thus produce the IV fee. For these past 2-ish months, it looks like it is taking 25-35 business days for the IV fee to come up for a lot of people. It sucks, but I guess we all just have to sit & wait. :( In the meantime, have you sent out your AOS package & starting getting your IV documents ready?

Submitted ds261 june 7, still unable to pay iv fee. Nvc said to wait 30 business days from the day you submitted your ds 261. So i guess we cant do anything but wait. :)

I submitted the DS-261 on May 30th and have heard nothing since, so you still have a while to wait if the backlog doesn't ease up soon.

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

 

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

 

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

People who hired lawyers to do this for them bypass the DS-261 so have their AOS and IV invoices almost simultaneously. Maybe that's where you got the idea from :)

That's what I fear too and is why I didn't call on Friday. I sent them an email about a week ago, but I think if I get nothing by next Friday then I will 100% be calling.
