I am shaking at the minute, at 11:30pm EST I decided to give the case status another check.... and we were APPROVED! Been a very long 6 and a half months but I have a feeling the next phase will be a whirlwind.

hahaha yess I was actually driving :rolleyes: so imagine how nervous I got, I couldn't even see straight lol. Good thing I was only like 3 mins away from home.

Hello guys and congratulations to everyone that has been approved recently! I was wondering, how long does it take for the case to be received at NVC? My petition got approved on New Years eve and it was sent on the 9th of January to the department of state for visa processing. Ive seen people gotten approved later than me and their case is already on the way to the embassy. I'm just wondering how NVC will notify me? Whats steps do I need to take right now? I already gathered all my documents we are just waiting for NVC to receive my file. Do I keep calling to get the "Case #"? I don't understand the process that I'm in right now. Thanks in advance!

I just recieved the e-mail that our case has been approved!! It's been a long 7 months!! I'm SO glad that waiting is over!!

Hoping everyone else gets approved soon too! It seems as though they are kind of getting their act together, i hope.

CONGRATS .... I WANT TO ASK YOU ... DID YOU SEND TO CONGRESS MAN A LETTER REGARDING EXPEDITING YOUR CASE?

Nope! I had my Fiance call the immigration people though, (because we had to change my address as I moved from Australia to New Zealand over Christmas) but he asked them how much longer it was going to take, because we were past the average they state on the website, and the man said it would be another 4-6 weeks, turns out he wasn't lying!! I would definitely recommend calling them after the 6month mark, because then they know you are aware! haha
