Omg! Well at least u heard something even if it was only on some BS. But I'm so glad it was finally looked at and not lost or ignored!! You're finally on ur way! I'll be praying for a speedy NVC to embassy journey! U def deserve it!! ?

Thanks for the prayers! We'll take all that we can get!

Hey that is great news... you have a positive line to follow now.... makes you wonder what happens to all the missing stuff and we have had our share of that.

I can imagine its tempting to deliver them in person just to see who these people are but I'm sure they are safely guarded...haha..

.

Andie- yeah, I'm sure they're alot more protective of their safety than they seem to be with our applications - sure, they may "just be files" to them, but to all of us, it's our futures in their hands that seem to just be tossed about willie nillie without much care.

Please help, I am June filer at CSC, my case has lasted longer than the normal processing times, the problem I am having is I can't access to my case status on uscis website any longe, and I can't even file inquiry due to their wedsite been down, I have been calling uscis 3 tunes a week since the beginning of last month. Every time I called I have been told from different immigration officer the processing time is between 7 to 10 month. I have contacted my senator today if I can get help. Have been saying that

Is it different the processing time from country to country?

Is anything I should do to find out about my case beside waiting ?

Thank you in advance.

Most of us in this thread haven't received our NOA2 yet and are still waiting. Since you are Philippines and were expedited, you won't find much help here as most, if not all of us, have not yet advanced to that stage.

You are better off trying the Philippines forums or posting a new topic. I believe this question is answered in the guides section as well.

That's simply not true. Many of the individuals posting in this thread have received their NOA-2 approvals, as they were filed at the California Service Center.

@tommybear, it is true, however, that each country processes the payment differently. In Canada, we pay it - I believe - when we submit the DS-160 and schedule the interview. You can access the regional Philippines forum here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/129-philippines/

That is true - I typically don't post much in non-TSC specific threads because it's just downright depressing anymore. It was quite late after a long shift at work and for some reason I thought this was the TSC specific thread. That's what I get for keeping too many VJ tabs open at once! I still agree the best spot would be the regional forums though my first comment is negated.

Like some others I haven't heard anything since NOA1... :clock:

When are we allowed to start bothering them? is it 5 or 6 months?

Thanks and good luck to everyone. I'm happy to see some people getting approved.

I just sent the following message to my local congressman and am hoping he can assist.

Congressman Himes,

As a member of your constituency and a person who voted for you in 2010, I feel entitled to raise an issue with you that I am having with the USCIS, in particular the Texas Service Center and their response to a K1 Visa Application I submitted in July. I do not know how familiar you are with the K1 Visa and its process for approval but in simple terms, the K1 visa is a form of Non-Immigrant Visa that I have applied for on behalf of my Fiance so that she can legally enter the United States, provided we were to marry within 90 days. Applications are submitted to the USCIS and are sent to either California or Texas for processing. Unfortunately for myself and the rest of your constituency, all applications from Connecticut are sent to the Texas Service Center which has a lengthy approval time of about 5-6 months. Applicants lucky enough to live in a state that is serviced by the California Service Center receive a response in about a month’s time.

As I mentioned earlier, I submitted my application on July 9th and as of today, it has been 155 long days that I have been waiting to hear back from the USCIS. I met my fiancé when she was living in working in the United States. We are both honest, hard-working people and she wants to come here lawfully so that she can work and contribute to our state’s economy. I think that it is embarrassing for both our Federal government who takes such a long time to process these visa requests and it is embarrassing for our State to be “drawing the short end of the stick” and having our applications sent to Texas instead of California. Connecticut has some of the highest taxes in the country and I believe its citizens deserve the highest level of service the government has to offer. My Case number is SRCXXXXXXXXXX and I hope your office can look into this for me.

I hope to hear back from you and appreciate any response you can provide.

I'm not expert but I am pretty sure K-1 is actually an Immigrant Visa. At least the website of the US embassy in Stockholm says it is... Just FYI.

Hope you hear back from Congressman Himes, good luck! :)

Its my understanding that its classified as a nonimmigrant visa as the beneficiary has temporary status and can apply for permanent immigrant status after they are married.

Thanks for the support!

I was told last week that I couldn't call for any "official word" until 5 months had passed. THEN, they supposedly will "help" you.
