I'm so happy for all of you who have received your NOA2s...wishing you a speedy next step! But ugh, we're getting so frustrated. My fiance had come for a visit this past week and we really hoped we would have heard by now. At this rate, I'm wondering if we would have been better to have me go up to Canada. I am so tired of having to say good bye at the airport.

Hey sorry to hear about your frustration and only getting a little tease of your fiancée being here and then having to leave. I do not know what is worse the being away and not seeing each other or the short one or to week tease.

Your NOA1 was before mine @ CSC so your NOA2 should have arrived already or should arrive any day now. Keep up the faith and continue to prepare for their permanent arrival and start getting your documents ready for the next step. It is coming.

Keep bugging them... (just kidding)...

Good luck!! I have a feeling that you will get your case # by next week.. Keep calling them... :secret:

I forgot to post on this thread, but I called Friday evening and NVC received our case Friday, we have our case # and our Inv. I.D. #. I was told to call back Monday evening to have my fiancée's email address and such loaded into system for direct emails, why I do not know I thought they would have it on the forms.

But I was told not to submit DS-160 because even though we have new case number it would not be in another part of the system until Monday. But my fiancee is calling in the morning and scheduling her medical exam. She has already requested her local police certificate that takes about three weeks and must go directly to consulate.

I sure am glad I did not listen to the first few NVC customer service people or people on VJ who told me to wait for 35 or 42 days, We got out new case number in 14 days, if we had waited until day 42 we would have waited another 4 whole weeks, heck if things go right my fiancée may have interview over in another 4 weeks.

It looks like she just may be here 4 Xmas, :dancing::dancing::dancing: :joy: :dancing:

I'm frustrated for you!

We just spent the weekend together. It's getting easier for us because we see light at the end of the tunnel. How much longer before you call USCIS and raise hell?

I'm a teacher, so it's almost impossible for me to reach them because I can't sit on hold forever. By the time I get home (after 6pm), it's too late to call. May end up taking a sick day just to be able to call them! I'm so frustrated. I just got to see him for the first time in almost 5 months, and we were so sure we were going to hear based on what everyone was posting. We've known each other since 1984, when we dated for several years and I provided TONS of "proof" of a bonafide relationship based on our last several years together since we reconnected. I just don't understand what is taking so long. We are suddenly really wondering if it would be easier for me to move up to Canada at this rate. I can't take much more of only seeing him a few days at a time every 4-5 months. I'm devastated. I know other people are dealing with the same thing...and many have waited even longer to see their loved ones, but this is becoming almost unbearable as I watch others who basically "just met" by comparison get approved ahead of us. I'm happy for anyone who has fallen in love and are finding success on their journey to make their happy ever after work, but we've waited sooooooooooooooo long to be together (over 30 years now - and it was the immigration red tape that broke us up when we were kids because it was an even bigger pain back then). ARGH! Sorry for venting, but I'm an emotional mess. It's really starting to wear me down.

Wishing you all the best...and praying we get good news soon.

Bonnie

Thanks for sharing that story. My mom made a comment about contacting my Senator and I rolled my eyes thinking there was no way they'd have time to deal with that considering the elections around the corner. Now, I guess she wasn't far off base with her idea. At this point, I will try anything.

Thanks,

Bonnie

after 94 days of waiting (so far), we woke up to this email update:

"On October 20, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)"

YAY!

so of course we'd like to get a head start on gathering the needed info for the next steps, does anyone have a clear idea about which forms we'll need to have filled out or a link to the uscis site which details what is needed? or do we just wait for the checklist to come in the mail?

thanks july-sters :]
