My NOA-2 date was Sept. 25. I hope this information helps someone or saves you some time/dollars on hold. I don't work (don't need to) so my time is spent waiting, writing, reading, running and raising my puppy.

Then why others got their new case # after 2-3 weeks?? Maybe it depends on where the consulate is?

No, I think that's just their standard response. I'm holding out hope for later this week or early next, which seems to be a typical wait time for CSC filers.

From what I understand CSC is slower than TSC at getting files to NVC. Maybe that's the price we pay for quicker NOA-2s?

I know the waiting can be tough but it isn't like we're going to give up if it goes a bit long, right?

thanks for this helpful update. i can now stop bugging my man from calling NVC this week. we should just divert our resources and energy towards planning our Christmas break in the Phil...

my fiance(USC) got our MNL case # via phone.. he called today and hold for 5 minutes..the guy on nvc was so kind.he said that they just assigned us the case # yesterday and will send it to Manila US embassy.....

thank God for another good news!!!!

Awesome news, gang! I've been private messaging with a shy guy who has the same NOA-2 as me and he got his number last night, too. I'm hoping that I fell into the same batch as y'all and get my number today. Keep your fingers crossed for me. Please?

My fiancé (from California) called the NVC at 5PM PST / 8PM EST.

Received a notice of RFE via text today. I guess it's movement!

From RFE email to hard copy in hand it took about a week to reach us. we replied the following day (friday) and got an email update that it reached them a few days later (tuesday). pretty quick turn around, hopefully you guys will have a similar experience. yay progress!

I see you got the NVC case in 19 days, that is a lot better than the 35 or 42 days they are telling everyone to wait. just another reason to keep calling every couple of days.

I called from the office at 0720 Eastern time yesterday, call went right through to hold and 25 minutes The person came on the line asked how long it had been I could they were reluctant to check so I said it has a been awhile and I am work and do not have the letter with me. So the checked and it was not there, they said well you have to wait 42 days before calling, I said oh ok. Thinking to myself yeah right, so we can have a new case number at day13 or 15 or 19 or 25. waiting to day 42 would definitely get us scheduled for a consulate interview in late December or January. I will call back tomorrow evening and if no new case number I will call again in two business days.

Thanks, actually I have the same feeling, but am reluctant to tell my fiancée. I do not want to raise her hopes and then tell her we did not get it yet.

I am putting off calling NVC until tomorrow evening that will have been three full business days and15 days since the NOA2 says our packet left CSC.
