Yeah, y'all are a little too obsessed with those timelines. If people who logged in and created timelines don't come back to update their stats, it won't be accurate. So, even not having access to the website analytics, I'm thinking the timeline estimations are a bunch of bull-######.

Let go. Give yourself a chance to breathe. Hope that someone pops into the thread and says "yay, I got my NOA-2" and then you might have an idea of when yours will come in.

Otherwise, y'all are just stressing yourselves out for no reason. The only people who are in control of this situation are the pencil pushers in California. The more you try to assert control over it, the more you'll drive yourselves bat ###### crazy.

yeah what I am talking about is when you go to http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/ click on K1 Visa Timeline and then sort by clicking on NOA2, everyone of the recent back to 10 Sept. has been either a Texas approval or a transfer from Texas to CSC. if you filter on this spreadsheet by California service center there is only one approved on 9/17 and no other on it since 9/10

Granted a lot of people come on here pick people brains for ho to and to monitor stuff and soon as they get their NOA2 are gone or only come back to ask questions. they forget that if they feel out their timeline once a week it would help us and the system to give the rest of us better statistical data or better timelines.

when I see cases from May back with nothing after the NOA1, especially CSC cases I think there is now way that their is no that many cases on a forum that is an overall small percentage of actual filers, that is still waiting from Feb. march and such and the applicant has not even gotten an RFI or RFE.

I believe those CSC cases from May without an NOA2 are people who have not updated their timelines

I knew what you were saying was correct many people do just that they come on register get the information they need and never return. the least they could do is delete their profiles, but I went on Igors list out of curiosity (well the more i saw the more curious i became) and reviewed some, odd thing was out of the first seven One has not been online since January, one never filled their NOA2 but they filled in everything else and the fiancée is already here in the U.S. four others are in bold letters and profiles or timelines cannot be viewed.

Out of the next eight three have not been on since last December, One skipped over NOA2 and completed everything else and four are in bold letters and you cannot view their profiles or timelines.

and out of the next eight four have not been on since January.

It makes a person wander just how many of the others from earlier this year have not been on or updated their data.

Like you said we will know when they are close to us when we get an NOA2 or some with a similar timeline comes on and says they just got their NOA2

Sigh ...

In any case, I spent last night cleaning out boxes and throwing away stuff, mostly pictures that I never should have kept past the age of 30 anyway. I filled another garbage bag with clothes to take to goodwill and even let go of five pairs of shoes.

Downsizing is fun and, yet somehow, I will probably still have as much to pack as I did when I moved into this apartment.

I also went on this morning and slicked on a few of the April, may and june profiles in the timeline page, several have not been on since they registered and there are some where when you click on them the system comes back as a bad link. but they are still listed on the timeline page.

Yeah it is amazing how much stuff we have we can get rid of. lad you are staying busy and by giving to goodwill you can use it as a tax write off.

I am renting as well right now and have been in the same home for five years, it needed painting. so I talk with my land lady and said i would do if she bought the materials and she said sure go ahead and paint and take it off the rent. she is happy to get free labor. it keeps me busy plus my new bride will be happy to have a nice base to start from.

I also have gone through stuff and donated and listed things on craigslist and such, if I can get cash for it rather than a tax write off all the better. The cash will help offset some of our expenses and it keeps me occupied.

Looks like we're all cleaning house to keep busy. I've filled up 3 bags to take to Goodwill, rearranged some furniture, and organized a bunch of cupboards. One of my friends actually commented that it seems like I'm cleaning every weekend. I explained that I need to do something productive to keep my mind busy while I wait. It's amazing how much "stuff" I've accumulated over the years, and it's definitely feeling good to let go of a lot of it so we can have a fresh start when he finally gets here. I may try to sell a few more things to help offset the costs of this process, but I'm going to wait a bit to decide which items of worth I'm willing to part with. I may ask my landlord if she'd mind if I painted...that's another good way to pass the time and start with a clean slate. Hang in there everyone.

He emailed me today to tell me he took a bunch of clothes to Goodwill to make room for me in the walkin. It was very sweet of him but I just shook my head because:

A. I could just use the closets in the other two bedrooms.

B. That still won't be enough room for all my clothes and shoes.

I have a lot of shoes. I'm a shoe girl.

Also, I'm not looking at the timelines any more. And I'm not reading anymore posts about timelines. It will happen when some nerd in California finally gets to our file. Until then, I don't see any point in stressing out over it.

My fiance is worried about the amount of clothes, shoes, scarves and purses I own. I told him he won't be coming here with much, he doesn't care too much about fashion.. it's all function to him. I said we need a large closet and I could almost imagine him rolling his eyes. I have gone through and started to clean out things I don't need though. Next step is Ebay or Craigslist to get rid of some of the more expensive items that are worth something. At least it helps offset the cost. We recently sat down and went over our estimated savings we'd like to have and we're safely estimating a year of savings for his bills he will bring with him and our new costs of the apartment/higher health insurance/extra cell phone/etc. It's doable but boy the next few months will be tight!

We have a dream of financial independence without working. I will work because I'm the kind of person who needs to work. Of course, I'm a writer so I can work wherever, whenever a client/employer needs me.

Thus, we are researching the tiny house movement. That will mean downsizing more than we already are.

From 2,000 square feet to 200.

Eep.

You know, I was actually aware that the timeline here is not "official". It is however much more helpful that the "official" estimate of 5 months no matter if they are taking 1 month or 8. Someone has put a great deal of effort to build a system, but if the data is no good the estimates are no good.

Fortunately we are back to having a date, but unfortunately we have lost ground again. On another thread I read that we "Filipinos" should not be allowed to post because we are "expedited". Maybe we are, I don't know. Just want the approval, if there is going to be an RFE just get on with it.

We have no grand plans for the wedding, I just want a reason to put up a Christmas tree this year. I just missed the 7th birthday (but I put on a hell of a party) but at one point I was sure I would have Christmas, maybe even Thanksgiving.

Just do other people a favor and update the timeline promptly when you get new dates.

Here's hoping those guys had a good weekend and came in this morning ready to approve some applications!

I am unsure whom actually updates Igor's List or even if it is updated at all. Apologies if this is the case but i am not sure.

I was thinking in order to make Igor's list more accurate then the staff could implement the following suggestions:

1. create the ability to "park" an account if it has not been logged into for more than "30 days" for example.

2. once the account is "parked" do not include them in the timeline data as it is most likely that the member whom has not logged in for thirty days (or an agreed timeframe) has an inaccurate timeline thus throwing the data out.

3. run an update your timeline event urging all active users that have yet to do so to either create or update thier timelines.

All three combined would certainly help to make the timeline data more accurate, also the ability to filter out expediate visas would benefit us that would not fall into this category.
