Hey guys I have a question about field office. I got text notifications last night and checked my case status. On my I-485 form it said

Acceptance

On July 9, 2014, your fingerprint fee was accepted and we have mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. Your case is being processed at our NEBRASKA SERVICE CENTER location. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

I do not understand why my case is processed at NEBRASKA I am living in South Missouri. I put Kansas City, MO, for the field office on my I-130. Is it normal that we have different field offices even though we filed I-130 and I-485 at the same time? I am so confused and worried. I was so excited my cases are accepted but now I am freaking out. If my I-485 is processing in NEBRASKA is that mean we are going to have an interview in NEBRASKA?? :/

A service center and a field office are two different things.

This is completely normal, your case will be forwarded to your local field office if an interview is required.

2017 1/17 I-751 ROC filed (VSC), 1/23 NOA, 2/28 Biometrics

2018 1/31 ROC approved

2020 1/14 N400 filed
