It took a while for someone to mention that you have to be married to file an I-130/CR1.

Make sure that you have everything in your I-130 package...then, make sure that you have everything in the interview package. There are checklists...check and re-check and then, check again to make sure that you have every required document in the format as described. Most of what you will send with your I-130 packet will be copies of originals. Make your originals file, make two exact copies or the "original"s file.

Not meaning to sound harsh...but, making a mistake the first time...well...you weren't familiar with the process...doing it a second time...really, you need to be VERY detail oriented in these matters. Cross your t's, dot your i's and watch your p's and q's...the smallest detail can - and will - cause a serious problem. There's plenty of info here as well as on the USCIS website...and, there are books specifically written on the subject. Just make sure that they are up-to-date. There have been a few changes, recently.

Good Luck!

I am sorry to hear about your situation. I have gone through a similar reason for my I 129 denial. But I didn't file CR-1. I got married and filed I-130 . In my humble opinion also have a lawyer and file spouse visa.

The I-130 is the start of the CR1 process.

I'm in the same boat buddy, sorry to hear about your denial. Been there, done that. Just focus on turning the page now. I'm planning on sending a request to withdraw my I-129f with my I-130 application. Like everyone else stated above, take your time and get it right. You have plenty of resources to refer to and some help from other people on here. Good luck and feel free to contact me for any assistance.
