We went for Simon's biometrics appointment today. We arrived about 15 minutes early for a 1:00pm appointment. I did not go in because the letter specifically stated that no one is to accompany him unless they are needed for translation or other official purposes. So I waited in the car and kept warm.

At 3 minutes after 1:00 he was out! I couldn't believe it!

He said that aside from the mumbling and barely audible civil servant at the desk, it was all a piece of cake!

On to the next step!! Waaaahooo! :dance:

02/15/2007: Biometrics appt.

04/11/2007: EAD APPROVED!! YI-HAW

04/21/2007: Received SSN#

05/23/2007: AOS Interview -------> APPROOOOOOVED!!!!!!

05/29/2007: Received Welcome letter

06/04/2007: Green Card in Hand!!!

122 Days from filing AOS to Green Card in Hand!!!

REMOVING CONDITIONS

05/21/2009: Filed to Remove Conditions

6/18/2009: Biometrics Done

09/14/2009: Approved!!!

Citizenship

2/15/2011: Filed N-400

3/28/2011: Biometrics <-- Done

5/09/2011: Naturalization Interview <--- APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5/09/2011: Swearing in Ceremony (We're Done)

November 4, 2016 Received text case sent to Nebraska

November 10, 2016 Received Hard copy of NOA1

Glad to hear it went well.

I had my Biometrics appointment in Philly yesterday & had a similar experience. It didn't take long & was relatively efficient.

I guess it helped that I was one of the first there :P . I had an 8am appointment, but arrived at 7:35, & waited in the freezing cold until they opened up :angry: .

11/26/2004 - Met in UK as students

06/15/2006 - K-1 Visa received

09/23/2006 - Arrived at Newark Intl. Airport

10/27/2006 - Received SSN

11/26/2006 - Our wedding day!! (2 years from the day we met)

12/22/2006 - Filed AOS, EAD & AP

12/29/2006 - NOAs for AOS, EAD & AP

01/17/2007 - Biometrics Appointment in Philly

01/17/2007 - Email Notice of RFE for I-864

01/23/2007 - RFE received in mail - envelope open!

01/29/2007 - RFE mailed back to MSC

02/02/2007 - RFE received by USCIS & case processing resumed

02/09/2007 - AOS transferred to CSC

02/27/2007 - AOS *Touched* (case now pending at CSC)

03/14/2007 - EAD card production ordered

03/16/2007 - EAD Approval notice sent

03/19/2007 - Received EAD & AP in mail

07/11/2007 - Card Production Ordered! (Green Card on its way!!)

I was shocked actually! I just thought for sure he would be in there an hour or more, but there were people coming and going like a revolving door! It was so sweet to see all the cute couples with their folders in hand, I just had to smile when I saw them. They reminded me of everyone on here - just jumping the hoops, just wanting to be together.
