You got two separate texts on 7/16? One saying you were inline for interview and then one saying you were scheduled for an interview?

Do you get that update or is it just waiting for the interview letter once your case status moves into the Testing & Interview stage?

I believe she got a text/email on 05/28 saying that she was put in line for interview and another one on 07/16 saying that her interview had been scheduled and that she will be receiving the letter with the date soon.

Also, I think that the case goes to Testing and Interview once you are put in line for interview (or even when you are scheduled for biometrics, but I can't remember!). Have you signed up for text/email updates or do you just go to the USCIS website and check it? You can do either way, but I do like getting updates. If you have an iPhone I found an app called the USCIS Helper and you can input your case number and save it, so it makes it easier to check it. I won't send you updates but you can check it on a daily basis if you want. It pulls the information directly from the USCIS website.

It took basically a month from my biometrics appointment for my status to be updated to inline for interview. Really hoping it doesn't take another 6 weeks from then to be updated to interview scheduling but not much I can do.

I have signed up for status updates but I saw my status updated online before they text me - probably because I check it every hour. :-) Thanks for the heads up on the iPhone app, just downloaded it and its super useful.

If you have not received the notice within 30 days of the date the notice is mailed, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for further assistance.

On July 21, 2014, your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION was placed in line for interview scheduling.

When scheduling is complete, you will receive a notice with a time and place for your interview.

U can always call them and ask what's going on..

My friend did that and they changed the info on the page..

I agree with alicemgi. I would call them and try to talk to a tier 2 officer to figure out what's really going on.

I did call USCIS today they think the first message was sent as an error because they dont see an appointment scheduled in their system :-(

guess its back to waiting..

That's crazy! But maybe your phone call worked in your advantage. They might have noticed a mistake and fixed it. Hope you get your letter soon!
