What u Guys suuggest to Do if we didn't hear from Dem since almost 3weeks now n no any responce on That contact sheet paper I sent to Dem in Lagos

You can have your Petitioner contact his/her congressman/woman or Senator. IMO, it is really really too early based on other couples' timeframes that have been in AP. Although I know it will be hard, it might be best to wait a little longer before calling the Embassy.

I suggest you just be patient. There's nothing you can do. No one can rush this expedite or give you any reason for the time they are taking. AP can last days, to weeks to months to years. You just started.

The latest people I know getting contact list the AP last from 9 months to 4 weeks.

Also calling or contacting Lagos will just delay you further. Believe me on that one. Just let it be I believe even their email say do not contact them and they give you the days like 30 to 60.

How does calling and contacting the consulate cause further delays? Aren't they just reading case notes and responding to an email?

Also, I spoke to a visa officer with the consulate and she said that she recommends contacting the consulate id I hadn't heard anything after 60 days. She said it "keeps them on their toes".

You really believe that calling and bugging the embassy keeps them on their toes? They answer to No one they have no timeline. And I know with Lagos when they say do not call they mean it.

Delay of course they can delay heck lose your file. Piss them off see how far that takes a case.

I have seen people post here they email embassy and the embassy has told them swiftly stop emailing us we need time to investigate this and that. I would contact them when they say after 30, 60, 90 days then at that time I would contact them.

It's not like they are like "oh wow these people don't even care they don't write". They know full well there are peoples lives on hold waiting for their decision.

We were put in AP in Dec 2013 with no contact sheet given or any reason why the AP. I contacted the senator and the congressmen and they aren't able to help you as the Embassy will still take their time in finding whatever it is they are looking for in your case. We were calledp on after 7 months AP and asked for him to go take another medical and come in the office. On June 24th He brought a new medical and was told he was approved kept his passport and to pick up his visa in 7 days. Today has been 18 days since then and we still dont' have a visa. We have called and emailed and he even made an all day trip there to pick it up and all they can tell us is that we are still under Adminstrative Processing and they will call him when the Visa is ready. So even with a yes, It appears we still aren't out of it. I wish you the best on your journey and pray it doesn't take a long time. Also, I agree with the red flag I think what they would see is why you have a child and have not been married yet after 6 years but nobody but them will know that.

Has your fiance picked up his visa yet?
