Well Alice and I went downtown to the Federal Building for our INFOPASS appt. After waiting for about a half hour, our number was called. When we told the person behind the counter that we had our AOS interview last August and were told to contact them in 90 days, she said that our case is still pending the name check, which we knew already. She said it could take months to years and to come back in 6 months if we have not heard anything by then. Then we explained that we filed for the EAD at the same time and still do not have that. SHe checked the computer and said that the EAD was approved. She asked if my wife had been fingerprinted and I told her about our 1st biometrics appt. that we had last summer. She said that we would need to now get the second set of finger prints done and gave us a form to take to the ASC place in Gardena. We went there and took care of that and now we have to just go back to waiting for the EAD to show up. My wife is so frustrated at the slowness of the system here and there is not much I can tell her other than be patient and that at least the EAD should be coming soon with any luck.

I feel for you both. The system really sucks big time. The waiting they put our families through without any rhyme or reason is just miserable. The I-131's they make us fill out just to get back is ridiculous (we are now on our third).
