So it seems that most like the US justice system, and are glad he is being punished. Several said he was following sharia law and would not have been punished in Pakistan. A few thought he was well within his rights.

My only question. Like most online polls they general trend to the views of the educated and more well to do. as the poor generally do not have access. I assume that would be the case here.

Also from my very limited knowledge of things Pakistan is a less fundamental country than many, but still has an extremist population they have to deal with.

A sad story by most of "our" reckoning. But I'm sure it happens all the time in some countries. Sharia law is rough to say the least.

I wonder y almost a lot of people think Muslims as brutal..abusive..biggest of all terrorists?? To b honest look at the history..<<hitler..3ks..when Africans were slaves in us..and there r many more others to name like the guy who killed his.mother's students that were all aged under 5 years...>>> im not going against anybody nor any country I'm myself a US citizen but its unfair to just point fingers on one specific group..people need to first look at them selfs then point at others..its like tht one kid who gets bullyed from every1 and at the end when he gets tired of it,he either commits a suicide or hurts who bullyed him..obviously u get tired it :/

Is the bold true? This morsel seems to point in the opposite direction.

Honestly, people who comment are generally people with an axe to grind and they are going to reflect that and the bias of the news/blog not the education level of the populace of a specific country.

No mention of that in the story. I imagine it would have been brought up if it was the case.

I would be very surprised if sharia law sanctioned the killing of wives for not cooking goat as requested. Does anyone know enough sharia law to actually comment on this with some authority or is this a case of, sharia law is stupid so anything stupid is sharia law?
