Finally after being on AP for 2 months and 2 days our status changed to Issued!!!! :) How fast can fiance pick up Visa at Domex in Santo Domingo?

Many people have their visa in 3 days, but others need wait a little more.

At least they told you that they need investigate and gave you white paper that say ap.v

I had my interview on march 18, no 221g paper was given , they took my passport and they still have it but no visa yet.

And I dont know why I am in ap.

It is 3 months now, next 18 it is will be 4 months.

I am tired,

The day you paid the DomEx fee you would have elected to pick it up or have it delivered... Do you recall what you chose??

You can call DomEx and ask them if they can hold it for you.

NOTE: Actual sent date unknown due to lawyer negligence - I delivered ALLForms and PAID Lawyer on Nov 7, 2012 - Lawyer kept saying he sent the packet and USCIS must have lost it. When in reality he failed to send the package and only a new copy to USCIS after I made a legal written demand giving him 10 days to perform or return ALL monies paid to him, due to "non-performance".

(IMO it's better to save your money for visits to or from your Fiancé and just fill it out yourself using the K-1 Guide on VJ and Senior Members... They Rock!!!)

Thank you!!! Ilovemyman - call and email! I called NVC and emailed alot! I called NVC almost everyday!!!!

Enigma23 - I paid to have it delivered but we will continue to call Domex if they have it he will pick it up

I dont think that nvc has something to do in this stage.

My papers are at the consulate.

Congrats! Its so painful that they tell us nothing isn't it?

In limbo here also 1 month since 601 waiver approved...and we get no info...just that they have the approval at the embassy and are processing and will contact us...thank you for your patience...keep up the good work being patient...cause we dont know how long you will need to stay patient......haha..as if it was my choice....

I am on AP since after the interview and asked some civil docs and send my updated passport. And also on my 221g are the questions for my husband to answer in letter which were all wrong. She asked why my husband why he visited me once and married me on his first visit. (which is wrong and why he has not visited the applicant in 1.5 year. He visited me 5 times in one year) How could they decide to put me on AP without looking at the evidence i submitted to them and my answers to them. She asked me when did we first met and she was not happy about my answer and she snapped and told me to sit down again and she will call me again. And she called me again and continued to ask me questions and then handed me the 221g white form. Then she asked me to stay again and then I was called and interviewed in a room by a thai officer and in English. Then I went home. I checked my status and it was updated many times, the last was June 1, 2014. My husband would like to contact his house representative to help us. Please give us update of your info. Thanks a lot for sharing.

2014-07- 20 - Status updated still AP (confused bec it is Sunday on the 20th July, maybe scanned the additional docs sent to them)

2014-07- 21 - Status updated still AP 2014-07- 23 - My husband went to the house of Senate and they attended to him right away.

2014-07- 24 - The asst. at the senate responded immediately and contacted the USEM.

2014-07- 28 - Status updated still AP (received an email from the USEM, 1. Applicant, your case is ready to be issued, but your passport #********** needs to be cancelled first & returned to our office at your earliest convenience. Please contact visasbkki@state.gov to pick up your old passport to complete this step.)

2014-07- 28 - Cancelled my old passport and sent them to the USEM.

2014-07- 30 - The embassy received my 2 passports (old and new) 2014-07- 31 - Status updated still AP (Maybe scanned my mail)

2014-08- 08 - Status updated "READY"

2014-08- 13 - Status updated still "READY" I sent them an email re the ready status. Aug. 11 & 12 National holiday USEM closed.

2014-08- 14 - Status updated still "READY" I received an email from the USEM,We have received your said documents. Please be informed that your visa has now been approved. We are working with the preparation of your visa package and will mail it to the applicant address on GSS profile which takes approximately 7-10 days. Applicant should refrain from making any irrevocable travel arrangements until he/she receives.<p>

Nice to see some good news here, congrats,.,.,.,.this AP.,.,is such BS..,.,never heard of it when my wife came here, April 2013.,.,.now seems everybody is subjected to it.,.,.,..,.
