I filed my I-129F on january 6, 2014, when will i be able to make a inquiry of outside normal processing times? when do you think i will be ajudicated according to my file date. why is it that some people get ajudicated faster than others?

Hiya! I filed mine on January 6th, too. Unfortunately, we aren't able to make an inquiry until AFTER TSC has passed the January 6th processing date (according to the USCIS phone number, which is $@@%@). Yes, our case is past that 5 months that they stated prior, and yes they do say processing time is 5 months. But when you ask for an inquiry, they say "ohhhh, well it's still within normal processing times." and then they change the whole theory of what exactly is "5 months", which in TSC is basically a mystery. As for myself, I filed a congressional inquiry with my Senator. I printed out the privacy release form, sent them my NOA1, and in 2 days, they told my Senator my case was "in transit to an officer". That case "in trasit to an officer" is taking 4 days....his desk must be very far away...perhaps in another state! LOL! My Senator has been on their case for a week, and DEMANDED they process my application expeditiously since it's now at the 6 month mark and contacts them a few times a week and then reports back her findings. So I am letting her take the reins, and set a fire under them.

I suggest you get your Senator involved as well, Roman, to help speed things up. It doesn't hurt and it's easy to do.

Here is the up to date I-129F Processing Time where they are at right now as released by USCIS. As you see now they have removed the 5 month timeframe and are now going with an official date.

DECEMBER 17,2014

http://www.aila.org/content/default.aspx?docid=49230

At least this gives some visibility into this blackhole processing USCIS has been doing.

Also, I filed on Dec 16, 2013, and in early June, my case was moved to NVC,

and I know some Filipino filers got expedited processing,

so this is bit of "funny" date since they don't always seem to process in the

FIFO (first in first out) order.

Nevertheless, it's a lot better than vague 5 months they were using.

Best wishes

Have a look at the numbers compared!

What's up with TSC? Either they are short staffed or they have bunch of underachievers.

I wonder if USCIS outsources some of their processing to overseas?

I had heard about some US government using overseas companies either directly

or indirectly through a local US company with overseas staff.

And there's like 50,000 children that are sitting in south Texas right now, all illegal with no families.

at what point and how do they determine if applications transfer from TSC to CSC?

It's determined at the Dallas Lockbox where the petition is initially sent. It's determined by the state where the petitioner resides. Looks like Maryland in your case, so you'll get TSC.

I understand that MD goes to TSC but I've seen others that were transferred to CSC from states that should have gone to TSC. I guess it's a shot in the dark as to which, if any, applications get transferred from "TSC" to CSC.

I understand that MD goes to TSC but I've seen others that were transferred to CSC from states that should have gone to TSC. I just it's a ####### shoot and there is no real rhyme or reason as to which applications from "TSC" sites go to CSC.

That has not been my observation. It is based on the petitioner's state of residence as to where the petition is sent. I have not seen any go to CSC that should not have gone there in the first place. I have only seen ONE legitimate transfer from TSC to CSC and that was just 2 days ago. When I say "legitimate", I mean those that are actually transferred after being initially processed at TSC and not screwed up timelines by those that assume they were because they mailed theirs to the Texas lock box.

If you have specific cases you can point out (I-129f/K-1), I would be interested in seeing them. That may indicate a recent change in process but I am not holding my breath.

I posted a map indicating which states went to which center in another thread a while back for reference.

Assuming Visa Journey members accurately maintain their timelines I think you can get a better idea of where the TSC is in the backlog by taking the following steps.

  1. Go to http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/
  2. Click on the link K1 Visa Timelines
  3. At the bottom of the page, click on Change # Rows Displayed and change from 10 to 50
  4. Also at the bottom of the page filter on Texas Service Center and Not Transferred
  5. Click the Set Filter button
  6. When the list returns go to the column heading I-129F
    NOA2
  7. Click on the downward pointing triangle
  8. The list that returns is sorted in descending order based on the date of the NOA2 approval
  9. Looking at the NOA1 for each item will give you a sense of where Texas is in processing
