Algeria - Flight Costs, How to exchange Dinar to Euros, Problems, Help.

My husband is picking his visa up in Algiers tomorrow. I will pay the entry fee online. He wants to get his ticket in Algiers because he has no way to purchase a ticket online.

After looking at prices online (a ticket through Lufthansa is 1600 USD online, but 245,000 Alg. Dinar, or over $3000.00 USD from the Lufthansa agency, as reported on their website.

has anyone else had any luck getting an affordable ticket (around $1500 or $1500 USD) in person in Algiers? If so, what company did you fly with?

Also - how much cash can he take out of the country? Can he convert Dinar to Euros before he leaves? If so, where can he do this?

Check different departure dates and whether a round trip ticket would cost less (they often do). If you don't live near a major, metropolitan airport (i.e., JFK), it may cost less if he flies into one and you pick him up there, then travel home.

Again, I said I didn't have the funds to purchase online, and Algeria's closed economy means he cannot purchase anything online. There is not a way. There is no way to send money OUT of Algeria to me, either. So he has to purchase the ticket IN PERSON somewhere.

We have investigated all of the options of searching online, but the prices IN PERSON are different. Therefore, searches online don't mean anything.

Algeria has a lot of weird rules about money, and I was hoping that someone who has experience with this would give me some direction. I know you're trying to be helpful, but I clearly stated that this ticket has to be purchased in person.

My husband travelled with air france the cost was around 1,700 he got a round trip which helps lower the cost,,,, he converted his euros here in the us at chase bank. He couldnt exchange to dollars.....in algeria. He changed dinars to euros in algeria though

hello sis to get less u must change date in the summer season the ticket more expensive my friend travel with Qatar airline about 800 dollar he travel september 2013 to minisuta, so i will give you advice it batter if he get his ticket in the end of season and keep far from the biggest Airport that make the ticket more expensive try to Cleavland ther some good price my wife travel from algeria to cleavland with 1300 dollar in January 2014, in the end Conga sister and pray from me to get my visa my case in NVC now

honestly I dont see the problem with buying a ticket here in Ageria. Buy it at the airport or through an agent ... or you could buy the ticket wigth your credit card in the US ... but here in Algeria the law doesnt allow for curreny to sent out the country, Ticket to US varies depending on the city he will go but if you buy a ticket after Sept 10 the price for 1ay will only be around 800USD , costs more in the summer waaaaaaay more
