Can anyone help me? I got a checklist from NVC requiring a birth certificate with both parents names on it problem is I dont know where my father is and RGD says they would need his signature to process it.

There must be some other way to go about it anyone??? Help pleeeaaase

Who is filing for you, if it's your father, that's the harder one - I had to add my father's name to mine back in 2008 and I got a RFE to do a DNA test.

If you can't find him, I suggest you get a letter signed by a JP or something stating that you made the effort to locate him to no avail.

Can you not try and find him tho? I know seh its really hard finding ppl in Jamaica, but you can try the police station or electoral office. Or you might have to talk to a lawyer on this one tho :/

The petition was nullified automatically when you get married. Best bet is to talk to an immigration lawyer, you might be able to re-file and request to retain your original priority date but that may be difficult. Good luck.

nvc agent said that ,they sent the welcome package in july 2015, unfortunately I moved from that address. I updated my address with online change of address form, did not realize, that form changes address with USCIS not with NVC.

Anyways she updated my address ,email address and gave me case number and invoice ID number, and said I will recieve welcome package again in few days.

I went online and assign myself as my brother`s agent.

thanks

i have another issue, needs some insight if possible.

when my mother filed for my brother in 2009 ,he was living in Pakistan, but now he lives in Dubai, UAE .

he is on employment visa, he wants his interview done in Abu dhabi, UAE. so he doesnt have to go pakistan ,because they sometimes keep the passport, for unknown period, if that will happen , he won`t be able to return to dubai, will endanger his job.

does anybody has tried to change the embassy? if yes how did it go.

I was in his situation when I traveled to Canada. Your brother should update his record with NVC with his current Dubai resident permit. Within 2 weeks he should get an acknowledgement that his record has been updated. He should also include it in his IV package when sending. With the above, his interview will be scheduled in Dubai
