I observe that some people under f2b category were asked to go for DNA test and this takes a long time. Please, what condition will make the embassy or NVC to request for the test.

I think if the father is the petitioner mostly.

which forum are you seeing this. You are making us nervous.

When my sister applied for us under F4 Category none of the sister were required DNA except my brother who was interviewed in Canada instead of Pakistan as he was already resident there he

was asked to submit the DNA. They said they do not see any resemblance between him and my sister. Therefore my brother who had visa for USA came to USA and got his and my sister DNA done.

This was in 2007

If the applicant's birth certificate is late registered by years, chances are DNA will be requested. Being from a high fraud country can also trigger a DNA test.

Very disappointing June 2015 visa bulletin F2B did not move even a single week. Same as last month September 2008.

Sorry Hamida, I can imagine how horrible it feels, especially since u guys are almost there! No interview date for my son yet.... :(

Hi every one,

I have question What is DS-260?

How much we should pay for that?

I paid $325 and $80 at the beginning .

Should I pay for DS-260?

Thank you so much for your help

Hi Nikooo,

The DS260 or Immigrant Visa (IV fees) is about $425.00. That is the last amount to be paid and then wait for your case to be completed by NVC. What is the progress on your case? Has your mom come back?

Hi Chubbs,

Thank you so much for your help and answer, I am very grateful.

NVC sent them Checklist For complete again DS-260 and I-864 and I-864 A, and Tax for one of my sisters.

NVC sent checklist for another sister on january and we sent what they want, But no news yet.

No she doesn't , she is waiting for NVC give my sisters appointment interview and after that she will come back to U.S.

I have a question would you please answer me please :

First NVC will send the notification that your case is complete and all of your evidence are complete than will send interview appointment?

Or just send the interview appointment that means every things are right?

oh so your sisters procedures were already started. Yeah after all the documents are received by NVC, they review everything and then after 30 to 60 days the case is complete, if all papers are in order. If not, they send you the checklist (which you received). After checklist they take another 30-60 days for review, after that case will be complete. NVC sends you mail saying that the case is complete (case complete means everything is fine) and that they will schedule interview. Normally, for categories like F2B which is limited by numbers for every country, they schedule interviews quite fast, but then it also depends on the embassy where the interview will be held. if there is a backlog at the embassy, interview date could be delayed. Hope I have made myself clear and that your issues will be sorted out soon. Good Luck!

Seems that visa quota gt finished early this year.

Now, I will receive an Interview call next year. Not at all good sign, we should pray that there won't be any retrogression occur in the future.

Puru, I think they are streamlining the immigration process even at embassies and they are just trying to finish in batches. Thats why you and Hamida may have received the paperwork so early. By the time your case is current, they will be ready to schedule interviews I think. Don't lose hope... It will work out soon.
