Chubbs/Puru, Thanks.

I will be sending Affidavit of support documents package tomorrow. Will I need to send this package to my daughter also and she will need this for her interview or there is no need to send it to her in Pakistan for her interview. I have kept 1 extra set for her.

As my all income Is from my investment and no W-2 I am sending all three year tax returns, transcript for the same, my property document, my bank statement etc.

My income is much more than required income but as it is not from salary I have also attached sponsor I-864 with all required documents. Will that be ok.

First of all prepare 3 sets of all the documents including 1 Set of Original Documents & other 2 are Photocopies of Affidavit of Support (I-864) with other Financial Documents, then ....

1. Send 1st Set of Photocopies to NVC.

2. Keep other 2nd Set of photocopies with you for future reference.

3. And, send the 3rd Set which has all the ORIGINAL Documents to your daughter in Pakistan, because she will need to bring the original documents to show during the interview.

Hello Everyone,

I have a question regarding Form DS-260. I paid visa application fees today and status shows "In Process", should I wait for DS-260 form to become accessible online. Because every time I click on Step 3 Visa Application Form DS-260, it takes me to sign in page which doesn't have DS 260 form available there.

Can anyone please advise how to access form DS 260 online? please please ..

Thanks

Hi Ranis,

You simply must wait for NVC to allow you access. Nothing else works.

Chubbs/Puru,

I paid AOS fee on April 9, 2015 and it showed as paid on April 13, 2015. Now want to know when will I be invoiced for IV fee. I will be mailing AOS Documents tomorrow.

Refer my timeline for estimation. There is no fixed time but it takes a lil longer a week or 2. Actually, NVC takes at least 2 weeks time in review after the submission of first form i.e. DS-261 (COA) then it will raise the invoice for IV fee before that u won't make any payment online because the links remain disabled.

We have paid IV fees on 4th March but it didnt show it paid till 18th March, I dont know why did it took so long. Then, on 18th March it showed the status "PAID" and enabled the link to fill out the form DS-260 online.

What I have learned from this experience is that fees and forms (DS-261 & DS-260) won't consume much time. But, applicant and petitioner should focus on the packages because the review of 2 packages consumes a large amount of time i.e. 60 days but some people are saying that these days NVC completing the review in 30 - 45 days max. Right now, you should concentrate on AOS & IV packages' contents and make sure there won't be any error left otherwise it will bring delay unnecessarily.

NOTE: 1. DON'T FORGET TO PUT THE BAR-CODE SHEET OVER THE DOCUMENTS WHILE SENDING TO NVC.

2. THERE ARE 2 DIFFERENT BAR-CODE SHEETS REQUIRED TO SEND FOR EACH PACKAGE. WHEN YOU PAY AOS FEE, YOU WILL RECEIVE THE BAR-CODE SHEET FOR AOS PACKAGE ALONG WITH THE AOS RECEIPT & WHEN YOU PAY IV FEE THEN YOU WILL RECEIVE BAR-CODE SHEET FOR IV PACKAGE ALONG WITH THE RECEIPT.

3. ONLY DOCUMENT COVER SHEET IS REMAIN THE SAME FOR BOTH PACKAGES WHERE YOU NEED TO CHECK THE ITEMS GIVEN IN THE CHECKLIST WHILE SENDING THE DOCUMENTS TO NVC.

Puru,

I just sent AOS Document yesterday. With correct Bar code sheet but did not send cover sheet and the receipt. Big problem. I sent covering letter with AOS Bar sheet. Also did not sent the receipt.

Now what do I do?

I wish someone has clearly put above 2 points in the in previously.

This will delay the process or can I resend the package.

Receipt is not at all required to send so thats okay if you forgot to attach but an applicant must carry both receipts at the time of interview, tell your daughter to carry the prints out of both receipts at the interview.

You sent covering letter, whats that?? Never heard of it!!

Well, I have no idea what happen if you did not send the Document Cover Sheet along with the documents. I think its just an Index to declare the content inside the package or to guide us that in what order the documents should be kept.

Hamida, Puru444, Chubbs,

Reading your stories really touched my heart. The wait is almost over for you three. The time has come for your families to be reunited soon. It will happen this year.
2015 is your year and I know that. Please continue to keep your faith up because you encourage us, the ones that are behind you in this visa process. No more mentioning that ugly word that starts with R.

Any forward movement in the visa bulletin for F2B category should always be welcomed and appreciated. Let's not be disappointed if the movement is not as much as we had expected.

I was telling my mom yesterday that our wait will be over soon and that we will be with my brothers here in the U.S. soon. I do not know the exact date but it will definitely happen. And all the difficult times that we as a family have endured will be a thing of the past. And we will all sit at a big table enjoying a delicious meal in the company of each other.

Again, I do not know when our green cards will arrive but they will arrive and that's a fact, guys.

May we all be blessed this year 2015 with green cards!!

PD: My brothers' priority dates are September 24, 2009

Dear Puru,

I have attached AOS Covering letter with the bar code on the top. For documents I have created my own covering letter with all the documents listed in the order attached.

For example

1) I-864 duly signed

2) tax returns 2012, 2013, 2014

3) Tax transcripts pulled from IRS site for 3 years

4) Bank statements

5) My brokerage account statement

6) I-864 duly signed by co sponsor (my sister) who has good income - She is the one who sponsored me previously. This was not needed as my assets were enough and investment income was also enough but just wanted to get this as I am not working(never worked)

7) My sisters tax returns 2012, 2013, 2014

8) My sister Tax transcripts pulled from IRS site for 3 years

9) Her bank statements

Hopefully it should work.

Alright guys, a quick update. There's a little change occurred in my case last night as my AOS fees showing N/A, previously it was showing PAID on ceac.state.gov, that's quite a strange thing to me at first but now I have confirmed on this page: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process.

It says that it means CC (Case Completed) but I haven't received any mail from NVC yet in this regard. I hope we will receive it by today or tomorrow!!

NO. As I said in my previous posts there are 2 different Bar-Code Sheets for both packages. The one you just sent with AOS package was meant for AOS only that won't go with IV package. When you pay the IV fee, you will receive the Bar-Code Sheet for IV package with the receipt.

Document cover sheet is same for packages, don't get confused with it.

Is there is any additional cover sheet so that I do not make a mistake.

NO. There's only 1 "Document Cover Sheet" which describes the order to send the documents to avoid confusion or any error.

I hope you are referring to the Document cover sheet which was received with the welcome letter. Documents to be attached in following orders

1) Birth certificate

2) Photocopy of valid passport

YES it is.

Tell your daughter to cross Not Applicable in front that. It is not required or applicable to your case.
