what a shame!!!!!. I don't know why this movement didn't get to 20 Sept. 2008

You should be current next month. For us October 2008 - January 2009 main concern is slow process or retrogress(I hope not)

My daughter is 4, January 2009. Just three weeks difference. Keeping my fingures crossed that it keeps on moving (forward movement and not backword movement like it happened previously)

Thanks Chubbs for quick response as always. Did they scheduled your son's interview.

I am waiting for Visa bulletin for May 2015 to see what is the progress in priority date for F2B. Your's is current but my daughter Priorty date is January 4, 2009 I do not know when it will become current

Few month months hopefully

Hi Hamida,

I was out of town, therefore the delay in response. No interview date yet for my son, I hope to get it for May definitely. The May 2015 bulletin has not really moved much, just 3 weeks. Hopefully, the next one will move. This time they have not given any prediction for further bulletins though. But you need not worry, because your daughter's PD is very close and the process has begun, so its just a matter of a few months. The worst is definitely over.

Thanks Chubbs,

Welcome back from your vacation.

This forum was very quite as you were on vacationsand they were no updates from you. Please pray for my daughter.

Thanks Hamida. I hope your daughter joins you at the earliest. Though my son's PD is current, I do not have the interview date yet and its heartbreaking. I understand and share your pain, but this will pass and all will be well.

Thanks Chubbs. My daughter has been waiting almost 17+ years. Originally my sister sponsored us and she could not come with me as she has turned 21 years at the time of availability of the

F4 Visa(waiting time 11 years). Once I came to USA I filed for her in F2B Category in 2009 (More than 6 years ago).

I hope it does not retrogress. I am ok if she can join me in 2015.

Same happened with me, my uncle filed an I-130 for my father in 1996 in F4. I was 22 years old when our pd gt current in 2007 after deducting the approval time for CSPA I was short by JUST 6 months!! and those 6 months ruined my twenties and I spent the precious time of my life miserably without family. For me, the real waiting time since 1996 has gone over 19+ years by now.

These days, I have seen many F4 cases gt approval in 6-7 years. USCIS taking time to give approvals to F4 because they know how to deal with this separation problem because CSPA was effectively came into law in 2002.

Anyways, good luck to you. I hope we all through this soon .... pretty soon.

Your daughter will celebrate Eid in US with her family this time.

Puru, my husband's sis sponsored us in 1996 as well and our PD was current in Dec 2007. My son lost his GC by a mere week or even less after CSPA and Patriot Act calculations. I came here June 2008 and applied for him within a month. It will be exactly 7 years waiting for him. As you said, he too has been miserable; I went back as soon as I applied for his GC in 2008 and when I saw him I was shocked, he lost so much weight as he wasn't eating at all. This despite my other close family members being around. From 2008 onwards either me or my hubby is always with him. We have spent so much money traveling back and forth. Now my hubby is there just waiting to bring him along.

And the reason they are dealing with F4 cases faster is probably because they want to remove that category. Thats what was proposed in the immigration reforms. If you see the interview schedules for ND and Mumbai, most interviews are for F3 and F4. So it must be the same for other countries as well. So if that category goes, lesser number of immigrants from around the world and maybe F2B numbers will also be greatly reduced.

Chubbs and Puru thanks for sharing. We all have same stories. In my case it is for daughter and it is worse as she did not get married due to her visa category. For boys from India and Pakistan to get married soon. Now my worry is that as she has lot of time waiting for her visa she is at a age where it will be tough to find some good match. Please pray that she moves quickly to USA as it is difficult for a single girl to live alone in Pakistan.

Aww Hamida, I understand your pain so well. Yeah staying away from the family and then not being able to get married on time is a double whammy for our kids. I hope from the bottom of my heart that your daughter's PD gets current soon. I will let you know if I come across any bit of news about our category.

Chubbs/Puru, Thanks.

I will be sending Affidavit of support documents package tomorrow. Will I need to send this package to my daughter also and she will need this for her interview or there is no need to send it to her in Pakistan for her interview. I have kept 1 extra set for her.

As my all income Is from my investment and no W-2 I am sending all three year tax returns, transcript for the same, my property document, my bank statement etc.

My income is much more than required income but as it is not from salary I have also attached sponsor I-864 with all required documents. Will that be ok.
