I think on this site it's FB-2. That's what I selected. You can create your timeline from your profile.

For FB-2, it says (Immediate relative of US Citizen: Second Preference)

I was looking for:

B. (F2B) Unmarried Sons and Daughters (21 years of age or older) of Permanent Residents:  23% of the overall second preference limitation.

Shouldn't that be IR2 - Immediate relative of US Citizen: Second Preference?

I couldn't find F2B, so I chose FB-2.

Not sure.

My cousin is under a F2B Visa application in November 2016, and received the NVC notice yesterday to log on and pay the fees.

The Visa Bullet says they are processing July 2015 however?

That's priority date. The date he can be given Green card. So, processing usually starts a year before so one is ready to receive Green Card on their PD or close by. Else one would have to wait a year more after they are eligible.

Your cousin has already crossed the Filing Date which is 01MAY16. In fact, it should have been earlier than now, probably few months late by NVC to contact him and starts the processing to be honest. But things have deteriorated in the last 4 years, so that is expected.

I see. Thank you for explaining.

Hi,

Good to see this thread for a handful of us (feels like that) in this F2B category. I'll be adjusting my status and have already filed for I485 in Aug 2020 with fingerprints done in oct 2020 in SoCal. Now awaiting the final action date to be current as my PD is dec 2020. It seems some of you may be in the same boat and wondering of you also have same question or have an answer to it.

1) I feel all eyes would be on next few visa bulletins and the progression rates but not sure if people are getting interview calls for those whose final action is current?

2) Did anyone appear for the AOS interview recently and what was their experience?

3) Any interview waivers due to current situation?

Thanks and I'll post as I find any relevant details..

Right now things are on hold due to the current pandemic you might expect longer waiting times and the changes of the administration, I recon that by mid Jan things will try to get back on track or at least that's what I am expecting.

So when I log into CEAC, the message is this:

Due to the numerical limitations on immigrant visa issuance prescribed by law, this petition is not eligible for further processing at this time. The National Visa Center (NVC) will retain the petition until an immigrant visa becomes available. The NVC will notify the petitioner, principal applicant, or attorney of record when this petition is eligible for further processing. The principal applicant should not make any firm plans such as disposing of property, giving up jobs, or making travel arrangements at this time.

Does this mean she won't be able to log in and start paying the fees and filing the application until a year before the PD or close by? So the PD is November 2016...maybe when the bullet gets up to November 2015?

Follow Table B of the Visa Bulletin to see which cases are eligible for further processing.

For Nov. 2020, those F2b beneficiaries with PD before May 1, 2016, from most countries are eligible for further processing.  Your PD is Nov. 2016, so you're not eligible for further processing.  When your are eligible for further processing, then you can log in and pay the fees and file the DS-260.

Thank you for clarifying. So if I understand correctly, at the moment, for F2B, they are allowing NVC processing up to May 1, 2016

When they get to November 2016, that is when the portal will allow us to pay the fee and make the filings.

I suppose I was confused on why I got the email alert to sign in to CEAC, but perhaps that was to just make myself familiar with the website.
