Hi Everyone,

My mom petitioned my brother May 2011 and got the PD MAY 22 2011 and as of today July 1, the visa bulletin’s CHART B PD for the Philippines is now 01 AUG 11.

Do I tell him to go ahead and gather the documents he needs  or should we wait for the NVC Notice of Action letter for him and my mom in the mail?

I believe your mom needs an invoice ID number in order to send all the required documents. I suggest call NVC and request that Invoice ID number.

would that be the Receipt Number/ case number or is that a different fee?

If I am not mistaken, it seems the green card from overseas has been banned for the rest of the year till Dec 2020 except for US citizen spouse and children and maybe some other categories. Only people in USA on adjustment of status or other means are eligible to receive green card which is the good news.

The reason it's a good news is because if green card was totally banned, 226,000 green card for family this year would have gone almost empty. Now at least it will fill up to a certain level and hence priority date will move but I don't believe anywhere near the 226k mark as most offices are closed due to COVID-19.

Let's hope things get better next year.

Hello! Is f2b also affected by this immigration ban? My petitioner is only a permanent resident

Yes. F2B is affected by the immigration ban. If your petitioner would be a U.S. Citizen probably your category will be F1. Anyway F1 is also affected by the ban.

Hello! Does President Trump’s immigration ban also affects the interview and the process? I dont understand the immigration ban. If the embassy’s open, will they still schedule interview for those who are included in the ban? Does the ban mean that interviews will still be conducted BUT the immigrant can only enter the US after the president lifts up the ban on december 31,2020? Please explain thank you

Hey guys! I was wondering, (it's a totally random question) if an applicant while waiting for the visa has a baby in the process (with the I130  already approved,) how does that work? I´m aware that if you get married (being the FB2 category) you´re automatically disqualified.

Any personal experience that you can share?

You can even call NVC and request this information once case number has been assigned at NVC before you receive the letter.

Finally got the invoice number from the NVC by email today. I had to specifically ask for the invoice number, since the first time they had assumed that the petitioner had received the NVC letter. So once I had the invoice number, I was able to log into the CEAC website and continue the NVC process from there. Even if the wait for the medical and interview in Manila is at a standstill, it feels a little good to get the NVC stuff out of the way.

When I was on the CEAC website earlier to pay for the visa, there was an option to add someone else to your application.

So I was on the CEAC website earlier today to make payment for the AOS fee and the IV Application Fee. So for the AOS fee, the first time I pressed the submit button to make a payment, there was an error message that said that there was something wrong with the information provided and to try again later. I reviewed the information and everything was correct, so I pressed the submit button again and this time I got a confirmation that the payment was submitted. Next when I paid the IV Application fee, I got the same error message. I reviewed the information and pressed the submit button and got the same error message again. Then when I looked at the home page, I saw that the payment status for the IV Application Process Fee was "in progress", so I thought maybe the payment was submitted. Now I am looking at the home page and it says that the IV Application Process Fee still needs to be paid. Anybody else having issues making payments on the CEAC website? I'll try again tomorrow and hopefully there are no further issues with making payments.
